Welcome to our small, family-run Wagyu ranch in the heart of Alberta’s Blindman Valley.
We kicked things off in mid 2025 and are steadily growing our herd. Our family of four, along with our two dogs, two cats, two horses, chickens, and Wagyu cows, invites you to experience life on our working ranch.
We’ve got cozy accommodations sorted: an RV, a guest room and two rustic cabins, perfect for kicking back after a day of exploring. Our property boasts gorgeous views of the valley with unforgettable sunsets that light up the sky. Just 15 minutes from Sylvan Lake and conveniently located right between Edmonton and Calgary, you’re close to it all: lakes, trails, and even a ski hill 10 minutes away.
Pitch in with daily ranch tasks, meet our friendly animals, or head out to explore nearby hiking trails, Gull Lake, or Sylvan Lake’s beaches for boating, fishing, or relaxing. Whether you’re after a laid-back stay or an active getaway, our ranch is the perfect base for your Alberta adventure.
We’re looking for enthusiastic folks to join us, lend a hand, and soak up the beauty of rural life. With plenty of space, fresh air, and endless activities nearby, you’ll feel right at home.

Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
Family Dinners and Campfires: Join our family of four for home-cooked meals. In the evenings, gather around a campfire under the starry Alberta sky, roasting marshmallows, and swapping tales, sometimes with the howl of coyotes as your soundtrack and dummy roping fun.
Farm Tours and Animal Time: Spend time with us tending to our cows, horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. These hands-on moments are perfect for chatting and learning about ranch life while connecting with our family.
Local Attractions: On days off, we can organize group outings to nearby Sylvan Lake or Gull Lake (just 15 and 10 minutes away) for beach days, kayaking, or relaxing at lakefront patios. We also have a vehecle that you can use if you have a driver license to visit the rocky mountains or go on a weekend trip to Calgary or Edmonton.
Aerial tours: I can also take you up in the skies in my small airplane. At 180kts we can actually tour a lot of Alberta / Rockies in a single flight.
Community Events: Depending on the season, we’ll introduce you to Bentley’s small-town charm through local farmers’ markets, fairs, or community gatherings, as well as Alberta's national sport: rodeos.
Game Nights and Downtime: Relax in our RV or rustic cabins with board games, card games, or movie nights (inside or outside of the house) alongside our family, creating a cozy atmosphere to connect and unwind.Projekte mit Kindern

Arbeit
Animal Care: Assist with feeding, watering, and checking on our Wagyu cows, horses, chickens, and other animals. Help with basic grooming, cleaning, and maintenance to keep our animals happy and healthy.
Fencing and Pasture Maintenance: Lend a hand with building, repairing, or checking fences to ensure our livestock stay secure. You may also help with mowing, clearing trails, weed control, or rotating pastures to keep our fields in top shape.
Assisting with Projects: Depending on your skills and our needs, you might help with small construction or repair projects, such as fixing gates, building shelters, or setting up new infrastructure for the growing herd.
Farm Tours and Guest Support: Occasionally, you may assist with welcoming guests or giving simple farm tours, sharing the ranch’s story and introducing visitors to our animals.
Farm sitting and cooking: hold the fort by providing basic animal care if we are away for vacations or work. Also, if you like to cook, we'd use a hand on that from time to time.
We will pay 15$ an hour for most of those tasks, and provide accomodation and food.Sprachen
