  Living in Guarujá is an amazing experience! Here, we have 27 beautiful beaches and stunning scenery. At Brazil Backpackers, during the off-season, the atmosphere is peaceful, perfect for those seeking rest, calm, and connection. During high season, the energy completely changes: it feels like an endless vacation, with parties, sunshine, beach days, pool time, barbecues, and happy people all around. It’s a truly enjoyable experience full of great memories!
  
  Currently, the hostel is going through a new management phase, now led by Maria Eduarda and Fernanda, and we are very happy about this new chapter! We value good coexistence, respect, and equality among everyone, regardless of their roles. We do not tolerate any kind of prejudice or violence. Our space is harmonious, welcoming, and made for genuine connections, new friendships, and enriching cultural exchanges.
  
  Viver no Guarujá é uma experiência incrível! Aqui contamos com 27 praias maravilhosas e paisagens encantadoras. No Brazil Backpackers, fora da temporada, o clima é de tranquilidade , perfeito para quem busca paz, descanso e conexão. Já durante a temporada, a energia muda completamente: parece férias prolongadas, com muita festa, sol, praia, piscina, churrasco e gente feliz por toda parte. É uma experiência deliciosa e cheia de boas memórias!
  
  Atualmente, o hostel está passando por uma nova gestão, agora conduzida por Maria Eduarda e Fernanda, e estamos muito felizes com essa nova fase! Prezamos pelo bom convívio, respeito e igualdade entre todos, independentemente de suas funções. Não toleramos qualquer tipo de preconceito ou violência. Nosso espaço é harmonioso, acolhedor e feito para conexões genuínas, novas amizades e trocas culturais enriquecedoras.

  Staying with us is much more than a volunteering experience, it’s an opportunity for a true cultural exchange. Our hostel welcomes travelers from Brazil and all over the world, creating a vibrant environment where people can share stories, traditions, languages, and experiences every day.
  
  Volunteers will have the chance to improve their Portuguese or English through daily interactions, learn about Brazilian culture, local customs, music, food, and lifestyle, while also sharing their own culture with guests and the team.
  
  We encourage everyone to exchange skills and ideas. Whether it’s photography, art, music, languages, cooking, social media, or any other talent, we believe everyone has something valuable to teach and something new to learn.
  
  Located in Guarujá, volunteers will also have the opportunity to explore beautiful beaches, nature trails, viewpoints, waterfalls, and local attractions during their free time, making their stay both meaningful and memorable.
  
  Ficar conosco é muito mais do que uma experiência de voluntariado: é uma oportunidade de viver uma verdadeira troca cultural. Nosso hostel recebe viajantes do Brasil e de diferentes partes do mundo, criando um ambiente dinâmico onde todos podem compartilhar histórias, tradições, idiomas e experiências no dia a dia.
  
  Os voluntários terão a oportunidade de praticar português ou inglês por meio da convivência diária, conhecer mais sobre a cultura brasileira, os costumes locais, a gastronomia, a música e o estilo de vida da região, além de compartilhar sua própria cultura com os hóspedes e com a equipe.
  
  Incentivamos a troca de conhecimentos e habilidades. Seja fotografia, arte, música, idiomas, culinária, criação de conteúdo para redes sociais ou qualquer outro talento, acreditamos que todos têm algo a ensinar e muito a aprender.
  
  Localizado no Guarujá, nosso hostel também permite que os voluntários aproveitem praias, trilhas, mirantes, cachoeiras e diversas atrações da região durante o tempo livre, tornando a experiência enriquecedora tanto no aspecto pessoal quanto cultural.

  Travelers can help with different day-to-day activities at the hostel, always in an organized way and following the agreed schedule and working hours.
  
  The main tasks include welcoming and assisting guests (check-in, check-out, and providing local information), organizing and cleaning the common areas, helping with room preparation, and carrying out small maintenance or gardening tasks, depending on each volunteer’s skills and experience.
  
  We also value creative people! If you enjoy photography, creating content for social media, painting, music, art, or have any other special talent, we’d love to discuss how your skills can help make our guests’ experience even more memorable.
  
  We are looking for proactive, responsible, friendly, and team-oriented people. More than simply completing tasks, we want to create an environment of cultural exchange, learning, and community, where everyone can share experiences and grow together.
  
  Os viajantes poderão ajudar em diferentes atividades do dia a dia do hostel, sempre de forma organizada e respeitando a carga horária e a escala combinadas.
  
  As principais tarefas incluem recepção e atendimento aos hóspedes (check-in, check-out e suporte com informações turísticas), organização e limpeza das áreas comuns, auxílio na arrumação dos quartos e pequenas atividades de manutenção ou jardinagem, de acordo com as habilidades e a experiência de cada voluntário.
  
  Também valorizamos pessoas criativas! Se você gosta de fotografia, criação de conteúdo para redes sociais, pintura, música, arte ou possui qualquer outro talento, teremos prazer em conversar sobre como essas habilidades podem contribuir para tornar a experiência dos hóspedes ainda mais especial.
  
  Buscamos pessoas proativas, responsáveis, comunicativas e que gostem de trabalhar em equipe. Mais do que realizar tarefas, queremos criar um ambiente de troca cultural, aprendizado e convivência, onde todos possam compartilhar experiências e crescer juntos.

  Unterkunft

  Our hostel has six rooms. One is a shared dormitory-style room that accommodates up to 12 guests, while the other five are private rooms. Some of the private rooms have en-suite bathrooms, while others share a bathroom.
  
  Volunteers stay in a mixed shared room (male and female) with space for up to four people. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with both volunteers and guests, creating a friendly and social environment where everyone can interact and exchange experiences.
  
  Nosso hostel conta com seis quartos. Um deles é um quarto compartilhado no estilo hostel, com capacidade para até 12 hóspedes, enquanto os outros cinco são quartos privativos. Alguns desses quartos possuem banheiro privativo (suíte) e outros utilizam banheiro compartilhado.
  
  Os voluntários ficam hospedados em um quarto compartilhado misto (homens e mulheres), com capacidade para até quatro pessoas. O banheiro e a cozinha são compartilhados entre voluntários e hóspedes, proporcionando um ambiente acolhedor, de convivência e troca de experiências.

  During their free time, volunteers usually explore the many beautiful beaches of Guarujá. With more than 20 stunning beaches to discover, there’s always a new place to visit.
  
  The island is mostly flat, making it perfect for getting around by bike. It’s one of the best ways to explore the area! Many of us even cycle to Santos, following a bike path the entire way. The route includes a bicycle-friendly ferry crossing, making the ride safe, scenic, and a great adventure.
  
  Whether you enjoy relaxing by the sea, surfing, hiking, cycling, or simply watching the sunset, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to make the most of your time here. :D
  
  Nos momentos de folga, os voluntários costumam explorar as diversas praias do Guarujá. São mais de 20 praias incríveis para conhecer, cada uma com sua beleza e características únicas.
  
  Como toda a ilha é praticamente plana, a bicicleta é um dos melhores meios de transporte. É fácil, agradável e uma ótima forma de conhecer a região. Muitas vezes, também pedalamos até Santos, utilizando a ciclovia durante todo o percurso. A travessia é feita por uma balsa que também transporta bicicletas, tornando o passeio uma experiência segura, bonita e muito divertida.
  
  Além das praias, quem gosta de natureza pode aproveitar trilhas, mirantes, esportes ao ar livre e lindos pores do sol, tornando a experiência no Guarujá ainda mais especial. :D
