Take care of my rescue dogs & cats on Union Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

  Hi !!
  I'm Zoe, and I am from the beautiful Caribbean island called Union Island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
  
  Sadly we were hit by a devastating Hurricane in July 2024 (a year ago) and most of the island got destroyed, however everyone is rebuilding and it is currently now a work in progress but still paradise.
  My house thankfully & luckily, survived and everything is functioning.
  
  Due to this event, I have had to move island in order to start over my business on Bequia. I hop between the two islands but I need someone to stay at my house and give my pets some love and care as I know they miss me while I'm away.
  
  I am looking for either Solo Female Travelers or Couples for this opportunity.
  
  This position is not for princesses, expect to get your hands dirty !!
  The island is under major reconstruction. It’s noisy and dusty as our island gets repaired.
  
  My house and pets are really lovely.
  They're all very easy going rescue animals. 6 cats & 11 dogs. The cats are indoors only. Dogs are outside in the garden.
  Yes it sounds like a lot but they are easy going.
  They bark quite a bit when I am not there, if they hear anyone at the gate, but once they have the attention they need they're very quiet. This is why I need someone to live there.
  Unfortunately this wasn't a planned event, so me leaving them is complicated.
  
  What you'll be expected to do:
  The job is not complicated at all, it’s mainly to just be around the animals, show them some love.
  - They all need to be fed once a day (dry food) and to make sure they always have plenty of water and that all bowls are clean.
  - Scoop up dog poop & dispose of it daily so they garden stays clean
  - Empty the cat litter boxes daily. Sometimes twice a day.
  - Spend time with the animals, playing, petting, brushing
  - Watering the indoor plants once a week, outdoor plants daily morning and night.
  
  The dogs don't need walking, as they have a huge garden.
  If any signs of sickness, please let me know immediately.
  
  You'd be staying in the downstairs apartment is spacious, which has everything you need, Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom.
  Really good wifi (Starlink) for those working from home.
  Nice beaches walking distance from home.
  Food Shops nearby.
  My house is near the airport so you have an idea on google maps.
  
  Looking for a friendly, trustworthy, animal loving, relaxed couple or solo female traveller.
  Totally safe for a woman alone.
  If you are a Vet you are even more welcome as I run the animal charity Salty Paws SVG on Union Island and we perform spays and neuters whenever we have visiting vets. I spend my free time checking on stray animals and feeding/treating them so if you’re interested you can take over that role when I’m off island.
  There aren't many restaurants or places to eat on the island currently, so you need to be able to take care of yourself/cook.
  I will provide you with all the food basics and staples. No meat but everything else.
  I will let you know where you can get good takeaway local food also.
  
  If you would like to also help at my Animal Charity, let me know. You can go around the island giving out free dewormer and flea and tick treatment amongst other helpful things as we try to rebuild our island.
  
  I would like someone that needs to spend time at home, as my animals need company.
  Of course, you can explore the Tobago Cays, Mayreau which are near by, but I need someone to be present daily.
  
  RULES: Has to be an animal lover and worked with several cats & dogs before.
  This is not the same as pet-sitting 2 dogs. Absolutely no visitors allowed during your stay.
  No smoking indoors.
  Use water carefully when showering etc.
  Electricity is expensive here so don’t leave the lights on unnecessarily.
  
  Need someone easily contactable through WhatsApp that is capable of clear communication.
  
  This is the perfect opportunity for someone to live the laid back island life without any living expenses while caring for adorable animals.
  
  This offer is longterm but minimum 2-3 weeks stays. Anything less doesn't make sense as you need to get to know the animals, the island and surroundings etc. Trust me you won’t regret it.

  This is a great way to visit and live in the Caribbean for free ! Also this is an experience of a lifetime, to be able to experience the build back after such a devastating natural disaster.
  It's very expensive to live and rent here, so this is a perfect opportunity !
  This is a dream for any animal lovers....

  Feeding and taking care of the animals.
  Ensuring that the property is kept clean. A cleaner comes in 2-3 times a week but it's your responsibility to keep your space tidy. Cleaner can freshen up your apartment every so often.

  This is a large Private Home located in walking distance to the main town Clifton. Beaches 2 mins from the house.
  You'll be staying in the downstairs apartment which has everything you need.
  My space upstairs is open plan, and you are welcome to do computer work from there when I’m off island. Cats live here.
  Fan supplied. AC available, but due to the high electricity bills, I will not cover the AC fee.
  I will supply you with basic food necessities and water/juices. Just let me know your dietary requirements.
  
  I will not provide any Meat but you’re welcome to purchase your own nearby.
  
  Washing machine available. Good Wifi as well.

  As we got hit by a Hurricane a year ago, this would be more for persons looking to relax and enjoy the island life and its' beautiful beaches. There is not much going on, as the island is a work in progress but there is one or two restaurants and various takeaway spots. If you're someone that can work on your laptop, we have great wifi available at home.
  
  I will need you to be available to stay for 2-3 weeks Minimum.
  I am looking for easy-going, chilled and responsible persons to take care of my home and pets while we are away. Safe for female solo travellers too !
  
  *During your stay, you can not invite, or allow anyone in the property at any given time.
  *NO SMOKING in the property.
  *BE CAREFUL WITH THE USE OF WATER as we only depend on rain, and it doesn't rain much here. Now is our rainy season so we hope to get lots of water !
