… read more Eliane are very cool and accommodating, and we've been able to go to Copenhagen and to the beach several times. We had bicycles at our disposal, which enabled us to get around and explore the surrounding area. The living environment is perfect, the little village where they live is very nice, and their house is magnificent! 🤩
The children are really nice, and we spent a lot of time playing with Lauge and Aske, who were like our little brothers. 🥰

We learnt lots about Danish culture and daily life - we tried (and loved) lots of typical Danish food, learnt about the seasons and "rural life" in Denmark.
We enjoyed doing a variety of tasks from painting, gardening, cleaning and looking after animals on their beautiful family property - and we were always given clear direction which made us less nervous about giving new things a try.
Thank you so much for having us, we can't wait to catch up again in summer.

The work we were doing was mostly painting and renovating the rest of the windows (and we finished that first step of the project, yeah!), helping in the garden, painting some more parts of the buildings and cleaning. It was easy to do, especially beacause we were really lucky with the weather and had sunshine almost every day, which allowed us to work on the outside.
We can highly recommend this beautiful family and wish them all the best for the coming years! We are planning to come back on our way home and are really looking forward to it. So thanks a lot for that wonderful time with you.

We really enjoy the flexibility that comes with living with you guys, we often organised our own schedule and had plenty of time to explore around and take some day trips to Copenhagen, they are really informed and helpful on how to get around. One of our tasks was to sand old windows that Mads and Eliana will one day use to build a veranda, that was so cool to think that our little help will one day lead to a great result!
We will remember the nice and funny conversation around dinner, the first words and already quite affirmed humour of Lague, the beautiful drawings and kindness of Bjork and the positive energy of Aske.
We were also lucky enough to see the house transforming to get ready for Christmas. We hope to see you guys again soon. Thank you for that great time, it was a pleasure helping and meeting you. They helped out with all kinds of jobs inside and outside the house, and did a tremendous job in painting our house. Always doing the jobs with interest and accuracy. Apart from the painting they did garden-work, helped cooking, did normal housekeeping and helping with baby Lauge. They played with the kids and were fantastic with both the small and big ones. The day they left was a tough one for all of us. We, and the kids, miss them - but we are super glad that they will celebrate Christmas with us later this year. We were required to help out both inside and outside on the farm with different projects for 4-5 hours per day, and also helping with preparing dinner. The work was not difficult and we learnt lots of new skills we didn't even know we could do! It's very satisfying to finish a project knowing that we have contributed to making this place a new home for this lovely family :) We also had weekends off to explore the surrounding countryside which was made easier with a car that the family kindly offered us to use. We are so happy that we had the opportunity to come live with this family and experince farm life in Denmark for a bit. We would like to thank you for all the interesting talks, wonderful food and great company you provided us! We won't forget they short time we were made to feel like part of the family :) We hope to return some day!
