We are a lively family of two to five people: mum and four kids aged 14 - 22 years, only the youngest living permanently there. We live in a country house right outside a small village in Southern Iceland (100 km from Reykjavik)

Arbeit
I do not require more helpers for this year 2026!!
In general, I am always looking for some help with the household, the outdoor area and the garden. It is our private home and has a big garden areal.
For the year 2027, I am now looking for helpers for early spring, from beginning of April through May. Work would be depending on the weather, most gardening and light maintenance.
There are a few easy things that need to be fixed in our home and others that need maintenance, cleaning and painting.
We have a big garden areal that needs to be worked in, there is always gardening, including weeding, cutting trees, cutting grass, planting, fencing.
Besides, help with daily household chores, house cleaning and cooking is always appreciated. With our family, you will have the opportunity to stay in one of the most beautiful places in the world and be a member of our family. We do have two dogs, two rabbits and horses.
We are a busy but talkative family and enjoy sharing stories about our lifestyle with people from other countries.
The kids are really good with languages, they are raised bilingual (Icelandic - German), and the also speak English. -

You will have your own spacious room in the basement of the house. Bathroom is shared. Our helpers take part in cooking and eating with the family.

We live close to a small village where there is basically everything for your daily needs, including a nice outdoor swimming pool.
Even though many of the most famous Icelandic tourist attractions are in the region, it is rather difficult to get there without a car. As I cannot provide a car, I am happy to assist with planning sightseeing trips. -

Either it was cooking, playing card games together, taking the dogs for a walk in a beautiful area or helping with stuff around the house, I had a great time and learned a lot about Iceland.
