I had the pleasure of staying with Nacho, Aldynay, and their two children, Ayluna and Timur, for one month (August to September 2024). This was my second WorkAway experience, and I feel incredibly lucky to have spent it with such a lovely family! 😊
From the moment I arrived, they made me feel right at home. Nacho, although busy with his
… read more restaurant, was always kind and checked in regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. Aldynay’s calm and caring nature made the house feel so welcoming, and I loved hearing stories from her life in Tuva and China.
For the WorkAway opportunity, my main responsibilities included babysitting their 3-year-old son, Timur, and picking up both him and their 9-year-old daughter, Ayluna, from school. Afterwards, I’d take Ayluna to her gymnastics classes. Spending time with Timur was so much fun—he’s a lively little boy who loves to play in the backyard and at the park. Ayluna is a sweet and independent girl, and watching their sibling bond was heartwarming.
In addition to childcare, I helped with light chores like loading the dishwasher, folding laundry, and keeping the kitchen and living room tidy. The work was very manageable - just 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday and afterwards I had the rest of the day free to explore the beautiful town of Conil. The beaches are just a short walk away, and I spent most of my free time relaxing by the sea.
The accommodation was excellent, I had my own bedroom & bathroom, and the shared neighborhood garden and swimming pool were lovely to spend time in. I also enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood and the easy access to the beach.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and hope to have the opportunity to visit again in the future! I stayed with Nacho,Aldyna,Timur and Ayluna for two months, and I wish that I could stay longer!!

There is a great surfing spot right next to conil, and because you can loan there bike it is really easy to get there.
The most time I was with Aldyna, who is really sweet and caring. I learned a lot from her about cooking and her country’s history, what I found really interesting. I always enjoyed the time talking to her, and
Seeing her lovely relationship with the kids.
Taking care of Timur, didn’t feel like work at all. The time I spent with him I always found really nice, and it was fun to see him develop in this short period of time. He absolutely loves football and cars, but what he loves the most is his mama.
Ayluna is a really sweet girl, and the bond between her and Timur is so beautiful to see, she is so caring and loving over him. Ayluna is very calm and independent, and she loves gymnastics.
I had a lot of free time during the morning and evening, wich was so nice. I met a lot of new people here and almost every one of my friends I met at Nacho’s restaurant. Every Wednesday he organized a social event, where a lot of people go to meet new people and to do language exchange. Wich I would really recommend going to!!
The location is perfect conil is a beautiful town, and everything is walking distance. In the weekdays I would go to conil, meet up with a friend, or go surfing. And I’m the weekend I would explore further city’s with the bus.

Debbie stayed with us only 6 weeks, but in this short time she really become a true friend, or like a sister and family member. Positive, optimistic, easy-going person, opened, was a great pleasure to talk to her and spend time together with at any place , so we couch up very good.
My kids miss her too, I show photo of Debbie to my little son and he recognizes her as he doesn’t speak still, he babbles in his baby language, asking where she is when she arrives.
So if Debbie wants to travel in our area again, we would like her to stay with us again, but not only as workaway, but also as a friend.
She is a real diamond 💎

The whole family made me feel at home in beautiful Conil and I am so grateful for everything I got to experience while there. I also went to Yoga, language exchange meetups, hikes with friends and many visits to Cafés. Nacho and Aldynay always included me in their day plans and trips to other cities. I was able to pick up a lot of Spanish and ideas for cooking while there (both Nacho and Aldynay are amazing cooks)!!

I had a wonderful two months living with this lovely family in Conil. Thanks to the friendly and easy-going nature of both Nacho and Aldynay I immediately felt comfortable in their home. … read more energetic little boy and I was fortunate to be there to watch him explore. I would feed him in the morning when he woke up and then we would go for walks to the park or spend time playing in the backyard and swimming in the pool. Ayluna is an independent young girl who is very caring of her little brother so it was a sweet relationship to observe.
I had the afternoons and evenings free and was able to enjoy the beautiful beaches and nearby towns. Even though Nacho is super busy with the opening of his new restaurant, he went out of his way to help me if I ever needed it. I felt completely safe and happy for the duration of my stay and ended up wishing I could stay a little longer.

Aldinay opened to me new horizons by telling me a lot of things about her and the Republic of Tiva where she is from. I have had a great time with her and she became a really good friend. She cooked a lot of delicious food and something I have tried for the first time.
Timur (1 year old boy) was my main responsibility. He is very cute, calm and nice. We went many times for a walk in the park and next to the beach.
Ayluna is 7 years old, she is very calm and polite girl, and very independent, she was most of the time playing with her friends in the garden.
By the way, the house was really nice, it is situated in a luxury residence with common garden and swimming pool.
Summarizing all the above, my experience was super nice and I would like to thank this family for giving me this opportunity:)

I spent 3 weeks with this wonderful family and I'm so sad I couldn't stay longer - the time literally flew by! Nacho and Aldynay were both super accommodating from the beginning. I really appreciated that they even went to the trouble of making me delicious vegan
… read more food despite not being vegan themselves. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, Nacho even organised for me to use a board/have lessons with the surf school and even dropped me there, which was a really kind gesture that I appreciated a lot.
The work didn't even feel like work as it was so enjoyable - Timur is a genuinely lovely baby and I had a lot of fun playing with him and taking him to the park etc. - he will definitely make you laugh and smile! I already miss him!
I also had a lot of free time in the afternoon/eve. The location was great so in my free time I had a lot of fun chilling at the beach/surfing in the afternoons in Conil and then visiting nearby towns/cities at the weekend. I really appreciated the balance of having the option to hang out with and be a part of the family, and also doing things independently.
Thank you so much for an amazing Workaway experience, and best of luck with all of your projects Nacho and Aldynay!
