  Beschreibung

  Hello, we are Gwendoline and Arnaud and we have created our association in february 2021 in the purpose to offer all kind of activities to (re)connect human and nature, and to rescue farm animals in need.
  Our main activity is animal mediation (zootherapy), and we also receive groups and families for pedagogical visits. We also organise educational workshops about animal care, awareness about biodiversity, ecology, animal well-being...
  
  The tasks here are everyday dirty and somedays hard, physical and exhausting. ALWAYS outside with animals, under the hot sun in summer, under the rain, cold or wind in winter.
  
  -> Please if you apply, it means that you're ready for this kind of tasks and that you will enjoy it. You will need to bring your own adapted and good equipment, and not to fear dirt, mud, pooh, spiders or other insects, animal hair, bad weather conditions...
  
  ABOUT US : We are both passionate about animals, photography, music, travel, books, graphic novels...
  
  Gwendoline : I'm 31 and I'm a project manager in animal mediation. I studied dog and cat education just after high school and then I've traveled and workawayed in many places to learn about other animals (farms, dog and cat shelters, or wild animal rehabilitation centers in the Amazon forest in Equador and in South Africa).
  
  Arnaud : I'm 36 and I'm a librarian. Before I was a social worker (trained in social and urban development), worked as educational assistant in secondary school, and also as an animator with children or disabled people.
  
  We live in a house to renovate, that we share with two cats, Macao and Crevette, and a dog, Kinaï.
  We have now a baby girl, born in june 2025.
  
  The meadows, where the project is growing, are one kilometre from the house. There are 5 goats, 2 sheep, 3 donkeys, chickens and rabbits.
  Almost all our animals are rescued. They are members of the family and we educate and socialise them as closely as possible to humans. The main purpose is to offer them a safe and forever home, where they can be happy, free of their choices and able to express their natural and needed behaviours. We are committed to respecting their personalities and characters and we work, in animal mediation, always in a benevolent way for both the human and the animal, the well-being of our animals remaining our priority.

  Bonjour, Nous sommes Gwendoline et Arnaud et nous avons créé notre association en février 2021. Son but est de promouvoir toute activité de relations entre l'humain et la nature, et de recueillir des animaux dans le besoin.
  Notre activité principale est la médiation animale. Nous recevons aussi des groupes et familles pour des visites pédagogiques sur nos prairies, ateliers soigneurs animaliers, sensibilisation à l'environnement et la biodiversité, au bien-être animal.
  
  Le travail ici est salissant tous les jours, et parfois très physique et épuisant. Cela se passe TOUJOURS dehors avec les animaux, sous le soleil brûlant en été, et sous la pluie, dans le froid et le vent en hiver.
  
  -> S'il vous plait, si vous nous contactez, soyez prêts à travailler dans ces conditions et à l'apprécier. Vous devrez emmener vos propres équipements adaptés, de bonne qualité et ne pas avoir peur de la poussière, la boue, le caca, les araignées et autres insectes, les poils d'animaux, les mauvaises conditions météorologiques...
  
  A PROPOS DE NOUS : Nous sommes tous les deux passionnés par les animaux, la photographie, la musique, les voyages, livres et bande-dessinées...
  
  Gwendoline : J'ai 31 ans et suis chargée de projet en médiation par l'animal. Avant cela j'ai étudié l'éducation canine et féline juste après le lycée, puis j'ai beaucoup voyagé et fait de nombreux volontariats pour apprendre sur les autres animaux (dans des fermes, refuges pour chiens et chats, ou centres de réhabilitation pour animaux sauvages en Afrique du Sud et en Equateur).
  
  Arnaud : 36 ans, bibliothécaire. Auparavant travailleur social, formé aux Métiers du développement social et urbain, j'ai été assistant d'éducation en collège pendant plusieurs années ou encore animateur auprès d'enfants et de personnes en situation de handicap.
  
  Nous vivons dans une maison à rénover avec deux chattes, Macao et Crevette, et un chien, Kinaï.
  Nous avons maintenant une fille depuis juin 2025.
  
  Les prairies, où le projet grandit, sont à un kilomètre de la maison. S'y trouvent 5 chèvres, 2 moutons, 3 ânes, des poules et lapins.
  Presque tous nos animaux sont issus de sauvetages. Ce sont des membres de la famille et nous les éduquons et socialisons au plus proche de l'humain. Notre but principal est de leur offrir la sécurité, la liberté de leurs choix et la possibilité d'exprimer leurs comportements naturels et indispensables.
  Nous avons à cœur de respecter leurs personnalités et caractères et nous travaillons, en médiation par l'animal notamment, toujours dans la bienveillance tant de l'humain que de l'animal, le bien-être de nos animaux restant notre priorité.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Here, you can learn about animal care and behavior. You can learn about animal mediation, farm work, biodiversity, bird watching, basic wood building, music, french language (or english and spanish, we're not native speakers but fluent enough)... We'll be pleased to teach you anything we can.
  You can also discover some french wine cause we're surrounded by vineyards. Degustation and vineyard visits are usually for free ;)
  
  We live 20mn walking to the biggest french river : the beautiful Loire. 25mn walking from home is also the train station to go to Angers city (10mn) Nantes (1h) or Paris (2h)...
  They are many walking and biking trails around here, and some places to swim or rent canoes.

  Vous pouvez apprendre au sujet des animaux, leurs comportements et modes de vie. Vous pouvez aussi apprendre au sujet de la médiation par l'animal, le travail à la ferme, la biodiversité, les oiseaux, les bases de constructions en bois, la musique, la langue française (ou anglais et espagnol, même si ce ne sont pas nos langues maternelles, nous les parlons assez bien)... Nous serons ravis de vous transmettre ce que nous pouvons.
  Vous pourrez découvrir quelques vins du coin (Savennières, Coteaux du layon...) Les dégustations et visites des domaines sont généralement gratuites ;)
  
  Nous sommes à 20mn à pied de la Loire. 25mn à pied de la gare avec des trains pour Angers (10mn de trajet), Nantes (1h) ou Paris (2h).
  Il y a aussi de nombreux itinéraires de randonnées pédestres ou cyclables (dont la Loire à Vélo). Des endroits pour se baigner, ou faire du canoë...

  Arbeit

  HELP ON THE MEADOWS :
  
  - Daily task is to feed everyone, check the water (always need to be clean and full) and clean the sheds and enclosures.
  - Spend time with animals (education, socialisation, walks, agility....)
  - Build/fix fences
  - Plant trees, flowers, vegetables for biodiversity and for us and our animals.
  - Create spaces for wild animals (hedgehog, fox, birds, frogs, insects...).
  - Build, fix and improve many different wooden things (playground for goats, fences, sheds, water collectif system...)
  ....
  And probably many other things I'm forgetting right now. There is plenty of stuff to do, and we would like you to choose what you want/can do. To let your creation free and enjoy what you're doing.
  
  HELP WITH THE ANIMALS :
  - It's always very welcome from you to take Kinaï out for his needs when you're the first awake, change the water bowls whenever you see dirt in it, collect donkey pooh as soon as you have some time for it...
  - We always need to socialize more the animals, especially the shy ones, sometimes with trauma (Important in case of any treatment, medication...). So whenever you feel like sitting with them in their encloure, take the time to build a trustfull relationship, always with slow and kind gestures, nice voices, some treats, a lot of patience...
  
  - WE WILL PRIORITIZE VOLUNTEERS REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT ANIMALS. IDEALLY WITH EXPERIENCES WITH HORSES OR DONKEYS. :)
  
  HELP IN THE HOUSE : If you like cooking, we would love that you cook some meals whenever you feel like it. If you don't, it's not a problem, it's just very welcome that you can help with cleaning the dishes, cleaning/tidying the kitchen or set up the table for examples.
  
  HELP WITH RENOVATION : If you like to fix or build things, to paint walls or to take care of the garden (fruit trees, flowers, compost place, vegetable garden...). If you know about plumbing, electricity, space arrangements... Any kind of help is very welcome in this old house where there is a lot to do !

  AIDE SUR LES PRAIRIES :
  - Les soins quotidiens aux animaux sont les nourrir, vérifier l'eau (les seaux et bols doivent toujours être propres et remplis) et nettoyer les abris et enclos
  - Passer du temps avec les animaux (éducation, socialisation, promenades, parcours d'agility...)
  - Clôturer de nouveaux enclos / réparer des clôtures
  - Planter des arbres, fleurs, légumes pour la biodiversité, pour nous et les animaux
  - Créer des aménagements naturels pour la faune sauvage (hérissons, renards, oiseaux, grenouilles, insectes...)
  -
  J'en oublie surement d'autres. Il y a beaucoup à faire et nous souhaitons que vous choisissiez ce que vous voulez/pouvez faire. Laissez votre création libre et prenez plaisir à faire ce que vous faîtes.
  
  AIDE AVEC LES ANIMAUX :
  - Sortir Kinaï faire ses besoins si vous êtes le premier levé sera toujours très bienvenu, de même que changer l'eau des bols lorsque vous voyez qu'elle est sale, ramasser des crottins sur les prairies...
  - Il y a aussi besoin de socialiser les animaux les plus peureux, parfois ayant vécu des traumatismes (indispensable en cas de soins particuliers, traitements, maladies...). Donc n'importe quand l'envie vous prend vous pouvez rester dans leurs enclos, assis auprès d'eux, pour construire une relation de confiance, avec des gestes doux et lents, voix douces, récompenses et beaucoup de patience...
  
  - NOUS PRIVILEGIERONS LES VOLONTAIRES VRAIMENT PASSIONNES PAR LES ANIMAUX. IDEALEMENT AVEC DE L'EXPERIENCE AVEC LES EQUIDES. :)
  
  AIDE A LA MAISON : Si vous aimez cuisiner, nous adorerons que vous cuisiniez des plats dès que vous en avez l'envie. Si non, ce n'est pas un problème, ce sera toujours bienvenu que vous aidiez avec la vaisselle, laver/ranger la cuisine ou mettre la table par exemple.
  
  AIDE EN RÉNOVATION : Si vous aimez bricoler, réparer, peindre des murs ou jardiner (entretenir les arbres fruitiers, fleurs, créér un espace compost, un potager...). Si vous vous y connaissez en plomberie, électricité, aménagements, construction en bois ... Il y a beaucoup à faire dans cette vieille maison, toute aide sera bienvenue !

  Unterkunft

  We have a caravan in the garden so you can have your own space, with a heater.
  But in winter if you prefer, you can also sleep in the house, we have a couch/bed in Arnaud's office.
  
  We eat vegetarian. We love to discover new dishes and will be very happy if you want to cook typical dishes from your countries.
  
  We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. We like to have our own privacy for breakfast and some dinners. But we are happy to eat all together the rest of the time. You can always feel free to eat in your caravan when you need some quiet.
  We love good food and good drinks ; we mostly buy organic and local food, and for fruits and vegetables only from the season and at the market.
  
  Please buy your own food if you want more (cakes, chocolate, crisps ...).
  
  AT HOME : it's part of the exchange to help us in the house as if it were your own house, because it is ! as long as you're staying here. So please, if you come here, be ready to participate in cooking, cleaning the dishes, tidying up... Take care of the space and things you use.
  
  DAYS OFF : We like to be able to be off saturdays and sundays, when you know everyting about the daily animal care, you might be on your own those days. We will also be happy to have some privacy those days.
  You'll have your 2 days off in the week.

  Nous avons une caravane dans le jardin où vous pourrez avoir votre propre espace. Il y a un chauffage.
  Mais si vous préférez en hiver, vous pouvez choisir de dormir dans la maison, dans le bureau d'Arnaud il y a un clic clac.
  
  Nous sommes végétariens.
  Nous adorons découvrir de nouveaux plats et serons très heureux si vous voulez cuisiner des plats typiques de vos pays.
  
  Nous fournissons le petit déjeuner, déjeuner et diner. Nous aimons avoir notre intimité pour le petit déjeuner et quelques dîners. Nous sommes heureux de manger tous ensemble la plupart des autres repas. Vous pouvez aussi manger dans la caravane si vous avez besoin de votre espace, dès que vous le souhaitez.
  
  Nous achetons principalement bio, local, et les fruits et légumes uniquement de saison, au marché.
  
  Merci d'acheter votre propre nourriture si vous souhaitez plus (gateaux, chocolat, chips...)
  
  A LA MAISON : Cela fait partie de l'échange de nous aider à la maison, comme si c'était votre propre maison, puisque ça l'est tout le temps de votre présence ! Donc s'il vous plait, soyez prêts à participer à la cuisine, la vaisselle, le rangement...
  
  JOURS DE CONGE : Nous sommes généralement en congés les samedis et dimanches. Nous serons heureux d'avoir un peu d'intimité ces jours là.
  Comme les animaux ont besoin de manger tous les jours, nous apprécierons si vous pouvez vous en occuper en autonomie ces jours-là et avoir vos jours de congé à un autre moment de la semaine.
