Update 9/3/26: Outlook Spring & Summer 2026
The weather in the mountains gets warmer, new ideas are coming up and soon there are a few new projects starting! Around my home i'd like to create a little gardenspace with a fireplace - it could be nice to host someone with permaculture / gardening-experience. Then the pasture-hut down in the valley needs a little refresh, the tasks would be little renovations, cleaning and to set it up new. Later on for the busy sommer-months it could be great to find someone who supports me with the guestroom - hosting guests, preparing the room, doing some washing, cooking - and next to all that enjoy the mountain-life! I'm open for requests, if the mountains are calling, feel free to reach out! Jan
Update 5/8/25:
My new home is set up and i'm settled in well here. As i have to work from september till christmas i'm looking for someone who can support me here with work in and around the house and the guestroom. It won't be too much work, mainly to prepare the guestroom, wash the bedding and to welcome the guests who come and stay here. This could be nice for someone who is looking to live in the mountains, stay a bit longer, and can deal with people as well as have a good amount of time for themselves and can live quite independent. There‘s a new project starting. My new home in the mountains is looking to get a refresh - some cleaning, gardening, renovations and a new set up - there is space for some handy or creative people who like to help with it and get a nice taste of swiss alpine air 🌄🥳

In september i‘m planning to clean up and re-arrange the pasture hut i‘m livin in. it‘s a beautiful place into the wild and i could use some help for that. besides the work i also like to get you a taste of swiss culture or take you on a mountain-hike in bernese oberland :)

Dear Workaway-Community. I'm looking forward to second half of September 2023, which i'm searching one, two workawayers which helping me to clear out and clean my apartment. I'm offering a beautful space to life, either up in the mountains or down in the valley as well as food. a few days of working, a few days you got the time to explore the area and the mountains. wish you all a lively & lovely autumn 2023!
Welcome to a beautiful, scenic mountain area in the swiss alps. My Name is Jan, i'm a 29 years old (young :D) swiss guy living in the fresh air of kandervalley. the following months i'm planning a little permaculture, gardening project around my house. there is some ground i can use and i would love to do something creative out of it. Also i will organise a little bus and would love to rebuild that into a little camping van (hippie-bus) which i can use in summer.
i'm an uncomplicated, easy-going guy and living by myself up here. i love to be outside, to write, to be creative, to listen to music, to cook, to spend time with nice people and to read a good book outside in my hammock. i live up here in a beautiful old wood house. normally i rent out the room to tourists, the guests really like the place and enjoy to be a little bit ouf civilisation in a traditional area with lots of possibilities to be active - as skiing, hiking, climbing, biking and many more.

there are many beautiful places around here. as lake oeschinen, lake blausee, gasternvalley, kandersteg, adelboden, grindelwald, spiez. you have lots of time to explore the area and to be active. i also like to go on a hike with you and show you some magical places near by.

Dear workawayers.
There is a new project going on. I found myself a beautiful yurt. And the goal is, to build this one up in between the next weeks. As i'm not experienced in buildung up a yurt, it would be amazing to find someone who got some more experience and who could help me with transporting, buildung up and furnish the yurt. i'm looking forward for this project and wish you all a great and adventurous summer 2024. jan.

Unterkunft
i rent a simple hut in a beautiful nature area. You can live their next to a river and the forrest, by yourself or with other workawayers. it’s enough place and sometimes i also sleep there. This place is not luxurious, but it can be a very nice experience to get in touch with the nature around. I do also provide food and make sure you’re not getting hungry :)
