  Are you passionate about animals and ready to immerse yourself in life on a family farm?
  We’re looking for a kind, hardworking volunteer to join us on our beautiful property, home to 7 horses, a variety of farm animals, and the sweetest dogs and cats you’ll ever meet.
  I have a small retail business in the town and work long hours. My husband's work is unscheduled.
  Our daughter works as a vet nurse 5 days a week.
  We are also having a few renovations done, so we are very busy and keeping the horses fit and other farm duties is a guggling act. We are looking for someone that loves animals (especially horses) to join in our busy everyday life, helping us out around the home, the farm and on some days riding horses on the bush trails.
  We would love to have you join us in this beautiful valley surrounded by nature. Just bring a smile.

  You’ll become part of our close-knit family, where we value connection, teamwork, and a love for animals.
  At our horse farm, you can acquire practical skills and knowledge related to horse care, training horse for endurance competitions and rural living.
  Come join us for an unforgettable experience filled with learning, adventure, and love!
  We provide a pick-up and drop-off from the nearest Airport "Coffs Harbour" nearest train station "Urunga"
  We provide gumboots and raincoats for rainy days and warm coats in the cold months.
  We provide a helmet for horse riding.

  Arbeit

  We do endurance horse riding, and this requires us to keep the horses in a training program which varies from month to month.
  We travel away on a regular basic to participate in these horse events. The months March to October are our busiest training months for the horses.
  While experience in endurance is not required, being CONFIDENT around horses and having intermediate to experienced riding skills is a must. Confidant riding outside an arena is essential. As we are NOT A RIDING SCHOOL, however we provide tips and hacks to improve your skills.
  During our quieter months January, February, November we will accept people with no riding skills to assist in other farm related chores such as gardening however, you will still need to be confident around horse.
  Task includes feeding/rugging/grooming horses every day and riding on some days. (approximately 2 days a week)
  Mucking out stables (collecting and bagging horse manure) and general horse duties.
  Feeding and care of other farm animals.
  When we are leaving for a competition, you will travel with us or stay to care for the animals.
  Preparing evening meals on 5 nights. Meals are preset menu and ingredients all provided. Light house duties.
  Other Randon opportunities that may present themselves whilst on the farm.
  Help with cattle work/fencing/gardening.

  Unterkunft

  Our home is old style farmhouse it's not flashy, but it is comfortable. We offer a comfortable bedroom with a queen size bed.
  
  Breakfast and evening meals will be provided. Evening meals will be as a Family between 6.30 / 7pm. Breakfast will be available between 6.30 / 8 am to fit in with morning routine and help yourself to cereal / muesli / bacon and fresh eggs straight for the hens / toast. Lunch will be help yourself to whatever you can find in the fridge and pantry. There is a small supermarket in town if you would like to purchase food or snacks for yourself. Our Family eat meat, chicken, pork and fish.
  We do not except couples. And we are unable to cater for vegan, vegetarians, or people with any type of food allergies or dietary restrictions.

  There will also be opportunities to experience local (tourist) activities.
  Bellingen is a friendly small town with cafe, live music and markets.
  Just a 20 min drive to the quiet little town of Urunga with beautiful beach and scenic board walk.
  We are 30min drive to the stunning Dorrigo national park that has rainforest walks and stunning waterfalls.
  We are 20min from the local beach at Repton.
  30min from the city of Coffs Harbour home of the Big Banana, Reptile world and Coffs Coast wildlife sanctuary.
  And 90min drive to Billabong zoo.
