My one acre property sometimes gets away on me and some assistance is appreciated. I am a mature widow, living alone, retired secondary school teacher who works voluntarily in the community. I have travelled considerably and enjoy learning about other places in the world. Conversation is important to me.

I have a broad knowledge of the Southland area and all of New Zealand and can advise on forward travel.
Arbeit
Work could include seasonal garden maintenance, planting, weeding and harvesting veges and fruit, in tunnel house and rose gardens. Perhaps household maintenance. On wet days when we cannot go outside, spring-cleaning could be a possibility.

Location is 500 m from the sea and 1 km from the town centre of the historical seaside town of Riverton. Bicycles available for getting yourselves about, to the beach and so on. Non-smokers only. I have wifi for your convenience.
I am not so good at catering to special dietary requirements, but we could come to some arrangement.

It was delightful having Kevin and Sarah and the children to stay with me for a few days and help around the yard. Kevin mastered the petrol-driven hedgecutters and dealt with my large macrocarpa hedges. Sarah and the girls picked the apples and they are now ready for bottling. I wish them well on their travels around New Zealand.

Kate was a diligent worker who found tasks to do even when I did not see them. She is now adept at mowing using a ride-on lawnmower and she enjoyed working in the tunnelhouse.
