We are a small, family-run lodge located directly on the shores of Lake Atitlán in the peaceful village of Tzununá. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty and right on the water, our lodge offers a private beach, excellent swimming conditions, and easy access to all nearby villages from our private dock.
We currently host guests in six private cabanas/apartments, as well as an eight-bed shared dormitory.
We are looking for one experienced and independent work exchanger to join our team. Preference is given to applicants who can stay for at least 6 weeks, with priority given to those available for 8 weeks or longer.
During your free time, you’ll also have access to paddle boards and tubes to enjoy the lake.
We value people who are adaptable, grounded, and enjoy contributing as part of a team. Strong customer service skills are essential, along with a willingness to help with a variety of tasks around the lodge.
Our lodge was co-created by Fiona and Chris in collaboration with a local family. What began as barren land has been carefully developed over the past 14 years into the space it is today, and we have been welcoming guests throughout that time.
We proudly employ staff from the local village of Tzununá. Our work exchangers assist with tasks that require previous experience, with the long-term goal of training local team members to eventually take on all roles independently.
This is a work exchange opportunity. Please send us your email address for more information.

You’ll be helping alongside a team of 7–8 local staff members from the nearby village of Tzununa, as well as 3–4 fellow Workaway volunteers and the Management team. The local team primarily speaks Kaqchikel, with Spanish as their second language, offering a unique cultural and language immersion experience.
As a exchanger you’ll have the chance to connect with the local community, learn about indigenous customs and traditions, and improve your Spanish in a natural, day-to-day setting. Beyond the exchange, there’s plenty of time to enjoy everything the area has to offer—exploring the lake, swimming, paddleboarding, hiking, and socializing with people from around the world.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in both adventure and personal growth. You can also visit nearby villages like San Marcos to take part in yoga classes, holistic workshops, and other enriching activities, making your stay both fun and meaningful.

We are located directly on the shores of Lake Atitlán, with both road and boat access, and just 20 minutes from the holistic hub of San Marcos. Positioned perfectly between San Marcos and Tzununá, the lodge is an ideal base for exploring the lake and surrounding villages.
Getting around is easy, whether by local boats or road, making it simple to experience everything the area has to offer. In your free time, you can enjoy complimentary use of tubes and stand-up paddleboards, relax on our private beach, swim in the lake, or head out on one of the many beautiful hikes nearby.
The lodge itself has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and is a fun place to do an exchange. Past Workaway exchangers have consistently had a great experience here—and many end up extending their stay longer than they originally planned.
