  Hi, we're Emma and Ben and we run activity holidays and specialist breaks like yoga and art retreats from our renovated farmhouse at Lake Skadar National Park. We've been doing it since 2011!
  
  We host small groups of guests every week from April to October, and take them hiking, kayaking and to enjoy the fantastic local wine and gastronomy. Out of season, there's always plenty of land and property maintenance to do!
  
  You will find yourself based in a stunning location for any nature lover, bang in the middle of a huge national park, with plenty of free time to get out and explore. During the season, your lodgings will be a private wooden eco-cabin on the Villa estate, surrounded by nature, fruit trees and the occasional wild tortoise. You will also be able to share outdoor spaces with our guests, including the swimming pool and nature/yoga deck. Out of season, we make a room in the actual guesthouse available.
  
  We're based in walking distance of Virpazar, a pretty little village by Lake Skadar.

  You will be based in an extremely beautiful, rural area of Montenegro - Lake Skadar National Park - where you will be able to learn about and enjoy the incredible nature on our doorstep, as well as (during the season) learn to be a hiking and kayaking guide and guesthouse assistant manager. And of course, we'll take you to some of the best secret beauty spots in our area. As little English is spoken here, except at our place, you'll also get the chance to meet locals and learn a bit of the local language - Serbian/Montenegrin.

  APRIL-OCTOBER
  
  We're looking for outdoorsy, nature-loving couples with excellent social media skills to help run our activity holidays and guest accommodation. For the right people (you need to be as happy cleaning a guest bedroom as you are chatting with guests and staying in an eco-cabin!), this is an amazing opportunity to learn how to run both an eco-lodge and an adventure travel company.
  
  During the tourist season the role is that of Assistant Managers, working under our existing Management couple. Daily tasks involve getting up early (7am starts) to water the plants, maintain the swimming pool (which involves using it too!), sweep, clean and tidy outside and communal areas like the yoga deck and guest kitchen/living rooms, prepare the occasional breakfast basket, and maintain a fleet of cars, kayaks and bicycles!
  
  Twice a week you'll help out with cleaning and preparing the villa itself. There will also be some gardening to do (strimming, pruning and maintaining our veggie garden).
  
  The fun part is that you will also support our managers in the delivery of our guest activity days (four such days a week, so two per person). Hiking, kayaking, swimming in waterfalls, jumping off bridges, wine-tasting, 4x4 driving, canyoning to some amazing places, most of them hidden well away from the standard touristy spots. You'll learn plenty of new, portable skills!
  
  You will need:
  - a valid drivers' licence for manual vehicles (automatic only is not enough, sorry!)
  - fluent English and ideally, an EU passport or residents permit
  - a good level pf physical fitness
  
  In return, we offer a basic wage of €400pp per month and free accommodation.
  
  We're looking for a minimum 1 month commitment during the full 6 month season, April-October, working 5-7 hour days five days a week.

  OCTOBER-FEBRUARY
  
  We're looking for house-sitters to take care of our two cats! This would not be a paid position, but we would provide a food budget of €35/week per person (plus cat food!) and use of a small car.
  
  FEBRUARY-APRIL
  It's all about getting the guesthouse ready. Painting, varnishing, gardening, cleaning...the more practical you are, the better (special consideration given to anyone with trade experience)! There are no tours to go on at that time of year - but as spring arrives it's always the most beautiful time of the year, and a nature-lover's paradise. For off-season positions we provide a basic wage of €400 per person per month, assuming an average of 3-4 hours work per day 5 days a week - we ask our Workawayers to be flexible as some days may be longer and some might only require an hour of your time.

  October-March - a room in our guesthouse.
  
  April-October - a private wooden eco-cabin with double bed in the grounds of the Villa estate, surrounded by nature and fruit trees. The eco-cabin is basic but comfortable, with a kitchenette, outside space & BBQ, plus access to a shower/WC with hot running water. You will also be able to enjoy the same outdoor facilities as our guests, such as the swimming pool and yoga deck.
  
  We provide internet access via a mobile modem, a car you can use when it's available, as well access to mountain bikes and a kayak.

  You will be based in a National Park, so the perfect place for anyone who loves hiking, kayaking and nature photography. Virpazar, which is a 20 minute walk from us, has a train station and buses with good connections to the capital city Podgorica (30 mins) and Bar on the coast (also 30 mins).
