We are dance instructors for ballroom dancing and also love the Argentine Tango, so we can give you some lessons if you want.

The state capital Linz can be easily reached from Aigen-Schlägl by bus or train (1 hour).
We often go to Linz by car (65 km, 1 hour) and we can take you with us, then you have certainly time there to discover the state capital.

Chih Ling only wanted to stay for a week, but she extended her stay and stayed with us for almost three weeks. We really enjoyed our time with her. Chih Ling was always fun, helpful, and hardworking. I lived in Cristian and Isabella's house for just over two months, it was my first volunteering and they welcomed me for a great experience. They live surrounded by animals and forest, in a large and cozy house, they are very active people, they dedicate themselves to taking care of the farm and the animals, they work, they are Tango teachers and… read more Isabella is also a writer. They do things all the time so you won't have time to get bored.
Living in this house is not living alone with the couple, during the time I was in their house I was able to interact with their entire family and quite a few of their friends, they often stop by the house and prepare great meals, this considerably enriched the experience. I recommend that I introduce you to her sister Niki de ella, she is eccentric and super fun, she has a costume shop and loves to prepare Italian and Greek foods in her garden. Isabella's parents were also very nice, her father is a very interesting person, he lived in Mexico and speaks Spanish. I also met Max, Isabella's son who also does workaway, he is sporty and young and loves nature.

We constantly went on excursions to the forest, we took the donkeys and their dog Chilli and we walked trails between enormous and very old trees. Sometimes Cristian took me for a ride in his convertible to see the extensive landscapes that surround the area, one morning we even went through three countries. Isabella also took me to see Salzburg, which, like everything in Austria, is beautiful.

On the farm I fed the animals and with them we went to walk the donkeys through the forest, I helped with the maintenance and care of the animals when they went out.
I am really very grateful for this great opportunity that they have offered me, I have learned a lot and they have made my journey very exciting.
P.S: If you go to Cristian and Isabella's house you will play a card game called Wizard but it is really impossible to beat them. They have been playing almost daily for a decade!

Conviví en la casa de Cristian e Isabella durante algo mas de dos meses, era mi primer voluntariado y ellos me acogieron para una experiencia buenisima. Ellos viven rodeados de animales y bosque, en una casa grande y acogedora, son personas muy activas, se dedican a cuidar la finca y los animales, trabajan, son profesores de Tango y ademas Isabella es escritora. Todo el tiempo hacen cosas asi que no tendás tiempo para aburrirte.
Vivir en esta casa no es vivir solo con el matrimonio, durante el tiempo que estuve en su casa me pude relacionar con toda su familia y bastantes de sus amigos, ellos pasan a menudo por casa y preparan grandes comidas, esto enriqueció considerablemente la experiencia. Os recomiendo que os presente a su hermana Niki, ella es excentrica y super divertida, tiene una tienda de disfraces y le encanta preparar comidas italianas y griegas en su jardin. Los padres de Isabella tambien fueron muy agradables, su padre es una persona muy interesante, el vivió en Mexico y habla castellano. También conocí a Max, el hijo de Isabella que también hace workaway, él es deportista y joven y le encanta la naturaleza.

Constantemente haciamos excapadas al bosque, llevabamos a los burros y a su perrita Chilli y recorriamos senderos entre arboles enormes y muy antiguos. Algunas veces Cristian me llevaba de paseo en su descapotable a ver los extensos paisajes que rodean la zona, una mañana incluso llegamos a pasar por tres paises. Isabella también me llevó a conocer Salzburgo que como todo en Austria es precioso.

En la finca daba de comer a los animales y junto a ellos íbamos a pasear los burros por el bosque, ayudaba con el mantenimiento y el cuidado de los animales cuando ellos salían.
Realmente estoy muy agradecido por esta gran oportunidad que ellos me han ofrecido, he aprendido muchísimo y han hecho mi viaje muy emocionante.
P.D: Si vas a casa de Cristian e Isabella jugarás a un juego de cartas que se llama Wizard pero es realmente imposible ganarles. Ellos llevan una decada jugando casi a diario!
