Hi there!
I’m so glad you found your way to my profile! I live on Askøy, a beautiful island just outside of Bergen on Norway's west coast. It's a peaceful, rural area surrounded by forests and the fjord—a perfect place for those who love nature, silence, and a slower pace of life.
I’ve been living here since November 2020, and have renovated a charming architect-designed house from 1978. The space is truly unique, and I’m passionate about keeping it beautiful, a bit bohem and functional, and I love budget smart and esthetic DIY solutions.
About Me
I'm a yoga teacher, ceramic artist, with a passion for interior. And I always have creative and practical projects going on especially outdoors. I love gardening, small-scale woodworking, DIY, landscaping, and anything that involves building or maintaining the property.
I live here with three sweet and friendly cats, so if you're going to stay here, you need to be comfortable with animals and like cats 🐾
What I'm looking for:
I'm currently looking for a couple / good friends (occationally solo travelers) to help with a variety of hands-on and seasonal tasks around the property. You need to be practical, tidy, structured and independent, with a positive attitude and love for the outdoors.
Tasks include:
* Garden work (weeding, trimming, planting)
* Chopping, carrying and stacking wood
* Clearing up branches, smaller trees, leaves& general tidying.
* Simple carpentry
* Scraping, sanding, painting.
* General maintenance tasks, or the ability to Google a task and learn! 😃
You’ll be working independently most of the time, as I have other commitments—but I love to join in when I can, and I’m always happy to share tips and a good conversation
What You’ll Get
You’ll stay in a private 50m² apartment on the ground floor of the house, with your own entrance, bathroom, kitchen, and living space if available/ or stay in the main house in the guestroom.

* Close to nature – fjord just 5 minutes away
* Bus stop 3 minutes away – approx 75 minutes to Bergen city
Food included 3 meals a day
* Vegetarian food is provided for you to cook your own meals (simple items like pasta, hot pots soup, salad, etc.)
* Breakfast is: bread or muesli.
* Lunch: bread and spread.
* Some dinners we’ll share together.. If not I’ll provide so you can make on your own. Vegetarian food
* I usually bake bread several times a week! 😀

1. Couples & solo travelers
2. You must be positive/ solution solving/ practical/handy – especially for outdoor work
3. Gardening and light carpentry skills are a big plus
4. You must like cats 🐈

Enjoy both Bergen and Askøy. So much to see, experience, explore and hikes to be hiked. The bus goes often, bus stop is 300m from my house.
