Hello ! I am Sabine.
French woman living in Spain for many years.
Fortià is a lovely village between Figueres (city) and Empuriabrava (Costa brava). The beaches are 8 kms from the house. There are many interesting cultural and natural beauties around. I will be very happy to take you to those beautiful places.
Help needed this autumn and winter
I am looking for a friendly, reliable and independent Workawayer to share everyday life with me at my home in a small village in Catalonia, between Figueres and the Costa Brava.
This autumn and winter, I will occasionally travel to visit my son, but most of the time I will be here and happy to share my everyday life with you.
I mainly need some help with the garden and outdoor maintenance, and with a few simple things around the house. I enjoy having someone practical and motivated around me, and I am always happy to share tasks together.
I also have a lovely independent cat, Rita, who sometimes needs a little care when I am away.
I really enjoy spending time with my Workawayers. We often go for excursions , visit beautiful places, go on excursions and discover the region together. The idea is very much to share, help each other and enjoy the experience together, rather than simply coming to help with a list of tasks.
I am looking for someone respectful, easy-going, responsible and happy to participate in everyday life together.
There is plenty to discover around here !
It’s important that you are at least 30 years old and able to speak a basic Spanish. A valid driving licence is appreciated (manual car).
The main help I need is:
To keep the house clean and tidy.
Garden: regular basic garden maintenance and keeping the outdoor areas pleasant and tidy.
Rita: taking care of my cat Rita, making sure she has her food and water and giving her a little attention while I am away.
If you are practical and enjoy doing small repairs or maintenance, that would be very welcome. For example, painting shutters or furniture, doing small touch-ups, or other simple jobs around the house.
I am looking for someone who is reliable, respectful, clean, independent and happy to take good care of a home as if it were their own.
The help is varied, and there is also plenty of free time to enjoy the area and discover the Costa Brava and Catalonia.
We always share all the general house cleaning and the cooking. And look after Rita, the cat of the house, then to be cats lover is important. 🐱 Unfortunately for this reason I can't host volunteers with pets, sorry .
I have been myself a workawayer as volunteer during 3 years, I had a fantastic time helping other people and I know and respect the value of this wonderful exchange!

Sabine was a very nice host! Their home was my home during my stay with them. They made me feel like a member of the family. I have lived a good experience with all of them so i'm very grateful.
