Hi guysss! My name is Mara, I am 21 years old and I originally come from a small village near Cologne. Even though I grew up in a more rural place I've always been curious about the world. I have an older brother and in general a good relationship with my family but this didn't stop me from moving out at the sweet age of 18 and starting my own life in Siegen. I moved here to study German and English to become a teacher. I live in shared apartment with two other girls and I really love them. Honestly, they make everyday life so much more fun and wholesome. I really look forward to (what we call) "Rommie-kitchen-time" and a good laugh in the kitchen every day. Here are some more things the make me genuinely happy: - my cat - good food - a sweet treat - good music (especially the kind you can dance to) - spending time with my friends - and yes, occasionally going out to party and enjoy my youth a little bit I´m also trying to keep a balance by doing sports, which helps me calm down when everything gets a bit too busy. How did I end up on workaway? Well first of all I´m a very open-minded person. Second I love to discover new things and connect with new people! New cultures, new traditions, new food, new people. Big parts of why I want to travel, as well as the feeling of stepping into something unknown and learn from it and the adventures which will happen along the way. I want to experience the daily life in another country, not just as a tourist, but as someone who becomes part of a family for a while. I Think that's it!
