Hi! I’m a cheerful, chill person with a big love for creativity, nature, and community living. I study arts and ethics education and really enjoy working with kids. I am a visual artist, I love pottery, drawing, and anything a little unusua! I'm happiest when I’m outside, getting my hands dirty, learning by doing, and sharing laughs with kind people. I’m open-minded, curious, and always up for new experiences, whether that’s helping in the garden, joining a creative project, or just lending a hand where it’s needed. I’m excited to meet people:)

This will be my fourth go on Workaway. The first time was five years ago where I spent a wonderful month in Ireland, county Tipperary, working with John, an equine dentist. Four years ago I also worked with horses in Scotland. The following year I did not participate in Workaway, instead choosing to teach summer school. Last year I participated in my third Workaway in Austria, also working with horses. I love the outdoors, travel, meeting new people, and working with my hands, so I am ideally suited for this role. Now for my fourth time, I was ready to work with horses again in the Alsace region of France when suddenly, my mom was stricken with cancer, and all the responsibilities for her care befell my brother which meant I had to cancel my plans and return. I was so disheartened. She is doing better and living in an ALF (assisted-living-facility) which is wonderful because now I can make plans again knowing this time they will not be derailed. After exploring areas of Europe in Workaway and in my past, I have decided to travel closer to home, Iceland, to be exact because it is an area I am drawn to, am unfamiliar with, appreciate its natural beauty and history, and would like to get an opportunity to enjoy.
