I’m English, and my partner Konrad is German, and together we’ve travelled around the world, often as Workawayers ourselves. Our adventures have taken us from adopting baby goats in Egypt to cleaning sand out of a desert camp in Jordan, teaching in Nepal, and picking fruit in the Caribbean. These experiences not only gave us friends all over the world, but they also gave us a huge appreciation for cultural exchange, something we’re excited to share with you.
I think our favourite thing about our experience with Workaway is that you get to see the different ways people chose to live their lives from up close. This has taught us that there is no wrong or right way to live, but that everyone can make up their own rules.
We love sharing travel stories with our guests, but we’re just as passionate about showing people around our beautiful island. In return, we’re eager to learn about your culture, experiences, and skills. We hope to bring our baby up in a home where anyone can feel welcome and where an array of languages and cultures meet.Help
We recently welcomed our son into the world and have somehow simultaneously taken on a million projects and could really use some help with our never ending to do list. Our projects include help in our vegetable garden, general maintenance, cooking, etc. We'd also be really interested if somebody wanted to teach us how to make a personal blog. Honestly, we have so many project ideas around the house that if you have any particular skills, I'm sure we could find some tasks that fit!
We welcome individuals or a duo who are versatile and willing to pitch in where needed.
Just to be clear, we have a baby, so you have to be comfortable sharing a space with a tiny human occasionally, but we are not looking for anybody to babysit or help with childcare.Languages

You will have your own bedroom and access to shared spaces including kitchen, bathroom, and living areas. Depending on timing, we might be able to lend you a car for independent exploration, and there are convenient bus routes connecting you to nearby towns.
We of course provide ingredients for all meals for our workawayers and in general, our guests take it in turns with each other to prepare said meals. We ourselves eat everything, but we're happy to adapt to a vegetarian diet if that better suits our workawayers. Let us know about any other dietary requirements in your message and we'll see what we can do.What else ...
Our home offers easy access to the island's local attractions, yet remains unspoiled by tourism. Whether you're interested in exploring historical sites, hiking trails, or simply soaking up the sun, there’s plenty on offer. Keep in mind that bus routes are limited throughout the Winter, but we'll do our best to help you see as much of the island as possible!
We believe that two weeks would be the minimum stay, allowing enough time to contribute meaningfully to our projects while also exploring our island on your down time. We’d also be open to a stay that’s longer if it feels right.
We are a non-smoking household and are pretty strict with this rule, so please do not apply if you're a smoker.A little more information

The tasks were Workawayer-friendly and I was allowed to organise the rest of the day as I wished. So I was able to visit the recommended spots. I either got the car or Katie helped me find the right bus.
