    Description

We are an international nonprofit association based in France. Over the last years it has been dedicated to the exploration and exploitation of using performing and visual arts in education & for social change! By other words, it has invited activist, artists, pedagogues and curious minds from all over the place to come together and be all about dialogue, sharing skills, learning from each other, creating and growing together as humans, listening and be.
Now the time has come to gather once more to build the most exciting venue to be the headquarters not only for Nomads, but for everyone else belonging to its network.

    Bonjour bonjour :)

We are renovating a barn in Brivezac, Southern France, to turn it into a paradise workshop space! The barn is on the edge of a lovely french village, a few meters away from the Dordogne river, surrounded by green grass and walnut trees.

We would love to host & work with handy people while being able of enjoying the countryside, the rural communities and splendid time outdoors! We will ask you to work five hours each day and in return will offer full time accommodation and food, good company, many many creative moments and tips about what is funniest to do in the region: swim, fish, canoe around Dordogne river, hike and tour historical villages...

We are looking for helpers experienced, curious minds or the ones willing to give a hand and try new things when it comes to renovating, building, carpentry, flooring, plastering, interior design and decoration.
If that's you, please get in touch :)
    You are most welcome!
Be sure to describe your skills and experience when you write to us and at which dates you’d like to stay!

We are living in the barn that we are renovating,. We installed beds on a big mezzanine with a view... on our work in progress ;)

Around th barn, get ready to be greeted by a dog, two cats and three chickens with open arms. Breath in the fresh air, roll in the green grass, play on our slackline and/or jump in the Dordogne river nearby.

When it comes to food, we are providing basic ingredients for you to cook to your own taste, from kosher to vegan, from traditional to more experimental, you name it :)
We also keep a hat where anyone is invited to contribute for the food when they want anything particular (special seeds or else) and alcohol.

    Be, listen and talk.
This are the first steps to be able to exchange experiences and socio-cultural perspectives. Amidst an international environment with people from difference backgrounds it will naturally happen.
Sharing is and always be caring, and with globalisation being a constant guest, by the end of your visit you will probably have discovered new things, learned and taught unexpected things about all sort of topics and yourself.
Conversations, food, music and a handful of strangers will set up the mood and then it's up to you how deep you want to jump in.

And yes, if nothing else works, you will for sure learn about various local and alternative building techniques and experience in first hand the deep French countryside on the riverside of Dordogne.
