We are an international nonprofit association based in France. Over the last years it has been dedicated to the exploration and exploitation of using performing and visual arts in education & for social change! By other words, it has invited activist, artists, pedagogues and curious minds from all over the place to come together and be all about dialogue, sharing skills, learning from each other, creating and growing together as humans, listening and be.
Now the time has come to gather once more to build the most exciting venue to be the headquarters not only for Nomads, but for everyone else belonging to its network.
Cooking / shopping
Bonjour bonjour :)
We are organising workshops in a renovated barn in Brivezac, Southern France! The barn is on the edge of a lovely french village, a few meters away from the Dordogne river, surrounded by green grass and walnut trees.
We are looking for a cook for our workshop (5th - 18th of September 2018). Our chef prepares for up to 24 people (usually around 20) 2 meals per day: lunch and dinner. We have worked with other cooks before, but none of them is free during this time, however we have some nice good practice already that we would love to share with you and make your work easier to organise. Also, you will have someone to help you when needed.
The diet regime is usually diverse - most of participants are vegetarian and occasionally we have some vegan, gluten free or no pork requirements. For this group we still don’t know but we will give our cook a detailed info in advance.
The work includes also doing shopping for lunch, diner as well as breakfast (participants prepare it on their own), coffee break and some necessary stuff. Therefore, you will need to have a driving license (we have a lovely car called Jolly Jumper all for you to use).
We also offer a small salary for your work, so it might be a lovely opportunity to spend two weeks (or even more) at our art space, meet amazing people and enjoying the countryside, the rural communities and splendid time outdoors!
If that's you, please get in touch :)
You are most welcome!
Be sure to describe your skills and experience when you write to us and at which dates you’d like to stay!
This may be offset by part of the cost of the accommodation offered depending on local labour laws.
Be, listen and talk.
This are the first steps to be able to exchange experiences and socio-cultural perspectives. Amidst an international environment with people from difference backgrounds it will naturally happen.
Sharing is and always be caring, and with globalisation being a constant guest, by the end of your visit you will probably have discovered new things, learned and taught unexpected things about all sort of topics and yourself.
Conversations, food, music and a handful of strangers will set up the mood and then it's up to you how deep you want to jump in.
