  • Description

This is the text I propose for the volunteers web pages until we decide what to do, please feel free to make any changes for improve the advice and make it clear:

Unfortunately we had to stop hosting volunteers at the Project. Last month the government advice us that the Lao law about volunteering has changed and we are not allowed to host volunteers with tourist visa. Nowadays we are trying to collect all the information to make possible for people to volunteer at our project and continue sharing beautiful time with our lao community. Still discussing with the foreigners control office and visas office the easiest way. We will keep you updated as soon as we get all what we need, we hope to host volunteers again very soon. Sorry for any inconvenient.

The Eco Farm is an operational permaculture farm, education centre and demonstration site that has an ongoing
    development program.

With the farm under constant development and seasonal variation, projects vary and change throughout the year.

Build on permaculture principles the organic farm produces a large variety of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and seeds that are sold to local restaurants, visitors and in the local shop.

The farm presents also many showcases of permaculture in a well integrated landscape, where water is the main feature.

If you have experience on permaculture, gardening, carpentry and teaching English this is your place to go.

At this point we are looking for different positions, such as gardener, carpenter and internet/blogging in social media and on our website, besides the main work which is helping on the Eco farm. We are particularly interested in people with agricultural and teaching experience as we offer English classes for our Lao staff as well as with children in the local school.
The job should be a combination of hands on work helping to build up the project and also educate local staff.

We are proposing a month volunteering program and also permaculture internships with certification up to two months. For more information please visit our website and fill in the application form.

At the moment there are about 25 people working on building up the Eco farm and the village. We have rooms available for 4 people volunteers and interns.

Presently we can offer 4 volunteer/ intern positions for a minimum stay of 3 weeks or a Month.
Please note that we carefully select our participants in order to keep a work and community flow based on diversity. It can therefore happen that we refuse an application based on nationality to avoid having to much people with the same linguistic or cultural background.
    Thanks for your understanding.
