    Description

I'm a young female soul in my early sixties living with a lovely family of cats on a hill surrounded by trees. On one side there is a beautiful view of a pine forest, and on the opposite side a far away sea view, near a small town in the province of Ragusa, in Sicily.

The plot is about 2000 sq meters, there are carob trees, olive trees, some fruit trees, young oaks and many pine trees and cypresses giving out a lovely scent to the place. The surrounding area is a mountain bike paradise so if you're on a road trip or wish to bring your bike you'll enjoy exploring the area on your bike in your free time.
The house is a small country house with an independent room with en-suite bathroom outside the main house for the guests.

I speak fluent Italian and English and get by with French. I'm sociable but I also like spending time in my own company, or in quiet company.

I practice yoga and Qi Gong daily and my guests are more than welcome to join me or learn from me.

I speak fluent Italian and English and if you’re interested you can practice with me.
I like cooking Italian food and have picked up some Indian cooking skills that I can pass on. You can learn recognise spontaneous herbs and Italian cooking.
I've lived in England for over twenty years and I've assimilated the English culture so I'm not the classic Italian lady nor the typical English one. I like meeting new cultures and exchange views and skills.
I’ve practiced Yoga and QI Gong for 30 years and I can introduce you to these wonderful disciplines. Every morning we can meditate together if you wish.

  • Help

    Help

As I live by myself I appreciate any help you can give me to keep my garden and house tidy and lovely.

From time to time I need cat sitters to allow me to travel and visit friends and family who live in other countries. Obviously you must be a cat lover and have lived with cats, as they’re very special beings, independent and non compliant 😹
All I ask is that you be looking after my 6 cats, and keep the outdoor and indoor living space clean and tidy.
It would be great if you held a driving license as we’re 3.5km away from the nearest village and I’ll need a lift to the bus stop when I go away.

At the moment it would be lovely to have some help in the garden as the grass is growing faster than I’m cutting it!

I love recycling and up-cycling unwanted items of all sorts so if you’re a like minded person there is always something in need of improvement where we can express our creativity!

I'll provide you with a comfortable room with en-suite bathroom and good food, mostly seasonal vegetables and spontaneous herbs which we can forage in the area. There is a lot that Mother Earth provides for free in exchange of a bit of rain and sunshine!

We can practice yoga and QI GONG together or I can teach you from beginners level.
I love cooking and you can learn a lot from me or simply enjoy my creations. I love all type of cuisines so you can treat me to yours too! If you’re here house sitting whilst I’m away then you’ll be responsible for your own food.

    Accommodation

The accommodation is in a double room with en-suite bathroom. The entry to the room is independent from the main house so you'll be able to enjoy your privacy.

I'm mainly vegetarian. I love foraging and in my recipes there are plenty of spontaneous herbs and locally sourced vegetables.
I don't buy fruit as it's often disappointing and I prefer to rely on what my garden and mother nature provides. If you want fruit that isn't available/or in season, then you're free to buy your own supply.
I don't buy vegetables that are out of seasons so we'll always eat what's available at any given season - and there is always something in need much available in this part of the earth!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

It’s a great place to be in peace and tranquility and to go walking if you’re here without me.

Public transport to the main nearby cities is available at a ten minutes drive and on a day off I'm willing to drive you at the bus station and pick you up.
The sea is about 40 minutes away from the place so if you love the sea this isn't for you but if you enjoy walking and cycling there are many trails all around the area and all you need to do is leave the house and.. walk.
