Hi everyone!!We are interested in getting some help at our campground during the next months of winter. The place is found in south of Albania, close to Vuno village.
The canyon of Gjipe (Natural Monument) is becoming popular, more visitors are coming lately so we would appreciate your help to maintain the beach & canyon and run the camp.

We need help to take care of the camp during spring-summer season so cleaning the area of the camp, the canyon and the beach from plastic or other waste found around, welcoming visitors and accomodating them to tents or helping them to find a spot for their tent. We also plan to create an organic garden of vegetables, afford english language practicing if needed, help in art projects(we can discuss ideas) and other small tasks where help will be needed. After October the camp is empty and we will need the new volunteers to stay minimum 20 days.Simple everyday tasks in general like maintainance & cooking for ourselves.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You could learn part of the local history, the way of life, and few traditions of the area .Meet artists that travel and exchange ideas and knowledge on diferent subjects.Socializing in the group of volunteers or with visitors if you prefer and having a good time,it is a way to get to know stories and exchange valuable information about traveling, traditions etc.Our ambition is to make the place self sufficient so getting to know how and participating in the process is beneficial aswell.

You could visit the nearby villages (Unesco protected) or go climbing-hiking in the canyon and swimming at the beach relax at the camping area etc.At Vuno village you will find some old reconstructed churches or ruins in some cases. These churches will be funded from us to get rebuilt-reconstructed & maintained helping this way in the rehabilitation of Vuno cultural heritage.
There used to be around 20 family owned small churches in function many years ago.
You could also try to visit by hiking along the coast,Jale or Dhermi beach. You can explore a famous historical sea cave(Shpella e Pirateve-Pirates Cave) . Another place you could visit is the old monastery of Saint Theodore up the hill,20min from the camp.
Available transport are usually mini buses from here to Himare/Sarande/Vlore/Tirane.In Albania you can easily find people to help you get in an another place by hitchhiking.
