    Description

Hello everyone! We're Dan, Sam, Jason, 3 young world travellers from England, USA and Switzerland. With over 16 years of combined travel experience, hitchhiking and couchsurfing in over 60 countries, we travelled with a dream to start our a new kind of hostel.

After years of hard work and dedication, we made that dream a reality. In November 2016, we opened a homely hostel/tea house combo in Bucharest built on principles of learning, growing and community.

Besides a nice location just 5 minutes walk away from central Unirii square, we have a beautiful garden, stage, and host / run workshops, events & other social gatherings at the hostel, and focus on giving all our guests a memorable experience.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We're making improvements to the hostel every single day. It's a beautiful space where nice experiences happen naturally alongside inspiring people who come and stay with us from all different countries around the world.

As hosts, we take life proactively, not passively. We have an abundant mentality, and appreciate others who are positive and bring enthusiasm to any activity.

All three of us have very different yet compatible personalities, and we're excited to mesh, teach and learn from you as well.

Thanks for reading, and we hope to hear from you soon!

We are looking for creative, driven and proactive individuals to join us who are passionate about making their own mark on the hostel:

    In particular, we're looking for:

    - Photographers / Videographers - to help us make fun promotional content and vlogs for the hostel/tea house

    - Painters / Graphic Designers - to help us decorate and design the interior of the hostel/tea house and create posters, flyers and other printed media.

    - Marketing / Social Media Wizards - to help grow our community and spread the word about our hostel/tea house.

    - Builders - to help with the fun project of building a tree house in our beautiful garden.

If you feel like you could contribute creatively in any other way, please get in touch. We're open to all ideas and suggestions.

Beyond creativity, from time to time, we also need help with day to day operations:

    - Socialising, running events and entertaining our guests.
    - Cleaning
    - General maintenance / small repairs

If any of the tasks above excite you then we'd love to hear from you.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We have fallen in love with Bucharest and Romania, and know the place very well now. We're also happy to share our perspective on the city in regards to restaurants, cafes, markets, parks, free things to do, and hidden gems to explore.

There's loads of sights, parks, restaurants and bars in Bucharest - it's a very lively, exciting city and everything is reasonably priced. There is an efficient metro, bus and tram network in the city that will get you anywhere you need to go. There are also many local markets in Bucharest, selling fresh fruits and vegetables at very cheap prices. If you love relaxing, there's also a swimming/spa complex just north of the city called Therme which even has a sauna with a cinema, - it's an absolute must visit!

Beyond Bucharest, Romania has a lot to offer. Take a short trip north into Transylvania and you'll find lush nature and mountains. Take a short trip east of Bucharest and you'll find the Black Sea, and some of the world's most beautiful untouched beaches. Romania really is a hidden gem! Feel free to ask if you need more information, and we look forward to hearing from you!
