    Description

    Our heritage Inn is located in the historic centre of Nablus,Palestine. Turquoise is thought particularly to offer affordable and still high-standard and culturally enriching stay.
    Turquoise is thought particularly for researchers and visitors interested in cultural tourism and willing to learn about Palestine and Levantine culture from a closer distance. The hostel is provided with a co-working space/study hall and offers several cultural activities to get to know the local culture.
    The hostel is accommodated in a beautiful typical Nabulsi merchant house from the Ottoman period, which was completely restored in the Spring 2019 after being partially destroyed by a bombing during the 2nd Intifada.
    The inn opened in May 2019, founded by Basel, Abed and Alessandra, respectively a political historian and two architectuest, as part of a bigger cultural endaevour, The Yalla Project.

    The hostel is the receptive facility an interdisciplinary research hub addressing the quality of life and urban spaces and the cultural habits.
    By staying with us you will have the possibility to get to know and join a broad array of activities and events organised either by us or by our affiliates, and that go from charitable work, to language exchange to cultural events and didactic activities.
    If you are a student, a young researcher or professional, or if you are simply interested in getting to know the local culture from a closer distance, we can provide didactic and logistic support to your formation, help you connecting and interacting with the local culture, support your language learning, learning local foods and cooking techniques etc.

    We are looking for motivated persons to give a helping hand with the everyday tasks of the hostel: helping with the check-in and check-out, verifying that the hostel's spaces are tidy, clean and well working.

    You will be accommodated in one of the rooms of the hostel, in a newly refurbished Ottoman house in the heart of Nablus kasbah. The accommodation includes a big sitting area with a fully equipped kitchen, a very large panoramic terrace with 360° view on the city of Nablus, an internal courtyard with lots of privacy and free wifi in all its spaces. You will also enjoy special conditions at our cultural café Antique, located right in front of the hostel. You will be always invited to join our cultural activities, as well as the free collective meals that we arrange on regular bases for the guests of our structure.

    The city of Nablus is one of the most ancient urban center of the world, characterized by a unique kasbah and a very vibrant and welcoming social environment.
    The hostel is located right nearby the local old market, where you can discover all about local delicacies, crafts and local traditions and customs.
    Nablus is also famous in the Middle East for its Turkish baths, which you can enjoy anytime, taking advantage of the special rates agreed between our hostel and selected hammams in town.
    Numerous sites of the Holy Land and archaeological excavations are easy to reach from here with cheap transportation. The Dead Sea is 1 hour drive from here, with cabs departing daily from the nearby cab station.
    A two-days break will allow you also to reach the Red Sea.
