Description
We are an active family with a sustainable mindset, with 2 daughters aged 8 and 10 (the youngest has special needs) living in the countryside in the village of Kortenhoef (Amsterdam lakes area) in the Netherlands.
For a single workawayer (travelling by your own) we would appreciate your au pair-type activities, like caring for the youngest daughter and supporting in the family activities (table setting, some cooking and cleaning, laundry etc).
For workawayers travelling together, we have gardening and maintenance projects around on the property. We are starting up our vegetable garden and growing in the greenhouse and appreciate your contributions, as we don't have specific bio/agricultural knowledge, but we a lot of enthusiasm and lovely facilities. Also if you like gardening and weeding of flowers/plants and trees, there are always things to do for you and if you're handy we always have some nice maintenance/construction projects.
We keep some chickens and have a land where we host sheep and have a cat. So please let us know if your interested and how you would like to support our place and family in the country side between Amsterdam and Utrecht.Types of help and learning opportunities

We are an active family with lots of space around the house, including a field with sheep as well as a few chickens, children to play with (and care for) a greenhouse where we just started a vegetable garden etc etc. You can go with our bikes and canoe to explore the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the cows and birds in the fields around you or visit places incl Amsterdam nearby (appr 20 km). We like cooking and love nice food and we can share meals sometimes (cooked by us or you), but also need structure and rest for our youngest daughter with special needs.
