    Description

    My name is Paul and as a permaculture teacher and designer, my mission is to bring permaculture knowledge & technology to my community and farming group that we are working with. We are a approved Register Community Base Organization {CBO} permaculture farming group with the Government of Kenya,and working with the following farming groups under our big umbrella to achieved their success in helping their community through hard work and working together {Dala Mor Farming Group ,Dero community Farming Garden Group and they were facing climatic changes, low investment, and relative , isolation,the main headquarter office are situated in the south western part of kawiya village located in the northern part of korayo sub location,Kochia central location,Rangwe district in Homabay county -Kenya. We are open farming groups ,we welcome many more volunteers to come in as we love you to work with our farming groups for knowledge sharing and community interaction.

    The village is 10sq km with a population of 1800 people ,one public school ,three privates schools and 15 churches,the primary occupations in the village are sustenance farming, carpentry, blacksmith, tailoring and small business which are under lake Victoria ecosystem environmental, with a vision to educate and empowered the rural community to escape extreme poverty.

    We envision a community where young and adult people who are willing to work gets trained and take a little risk can support themselves and their families in farming through sharing the information and new farming technology/innovation on Permaculture and Organic farming to facilitate an open source approach to decentralized Permaculture education.

    We are focusing to support practice and policies that will sustain young & adult ,independent and prosperous farmers now and in the future through Re-connecting with the Earth care and people care through gardening ,knowledge and experiences that lead to more holistic sustainable life and escape from extreme poverty as We are committed to:

    Our accommodation will be perfect as the volunteers will be with the hosting family in their home through home base care accommodation,to promote social integration and cultural exchange.

    volunteers will shared feeding cost with the hosting family as we will recommend for our volunteers him to shared a small contribution of 5USD per day for food as we the hosting family we will provide the remaining most needed required materials for the volunteers like private safe sleeping room , bedding's[bed, blanket, Bed sheets, mosquitoes nets and others] &clean and boiling water,solar electricity power

    As The volunteers will share everyday life experience with the host family spend time together , cook food , shared meals , exchange ideas discuss way forward how he or she can help in Networking the project to world map and also laugh together as a family.

    We also advice volunteers to Bringing their own basics such as soap, toothpaste, a first aid kit, special dietary requirements will help both you and me as your host. Strong shoes, gloves and work clothes are essential.

    The volunteer period of staying should be a week/ two weeks or less,but its depend on how he or she had a plan time frame of staying with the hosting family,the volunteer could read novels,playing with the community childrens,share story with our local people,can explore the village and learn our language ,can make a field trip for site seeing like game park,kit mikai,Lake Victoria boat riding tour to places like OBOLO BOLO For hippo/Sikri for monkey & Soklo for Holy cave ,even organize a playing with the community like playing football,netball ,volley ball and running event,the host family had a bicycles,a volunteer can used for exploring the village ,or the only cheap and available means of transport are Motor bicycle.

    Directions:
    when you come to the project this are the instruction:
    From Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta international air port-take flight to kisumu international air port, then from there the host will pick you at the air port to the project site, then we will used a public car from kisumu whereby one person used 300ksh to homabay,from homabay 100ksh to Rodi then from Rodi 100ksh to the project site
