    Description

I am Chris a dreamer, an art teacher, a tourist guide, a traveller and a lover of life. The more I grow the more i appreciate simplicity and quietude, with some quality sharing of course. This is why I bought this piece of land and a house here, I want to share it with like minded people that also envision a better world.

The house is quite big for me alone, and as much as I like my own company, I also am a very social being. There is 29,000ms of land mostly forest, with an inclination, a river stream in the wet season and loads of fruit trees that need love. The house is now in it's first phase termination process and liveable.

The aim is for it to become meeting place for artists, poets, musicians, nature lovers and truth seekers. The place is slowly being transformed to become a decent place of retreat. The idea would have be that in the future it would serve as a platform for such people to meet, to operate, get inspired and serve. The project aims to be a self sustainable in the long term. Last thing we did was clean the attic and I also painted the outside.
Now I need to paint some windows and mostly work on the land. Plant something and get some animals maybe :) Someone that has pluming experience would be fantastic as down in the garage we will find some work to be done...

Meanwhile bring in your guitars and your voices let us make some noise :)

The house lies at the end of a hamlet with 100 people in a very quiet place. Nature blooms here, on a hilly/mountain region very close to the highest mountain in Portugal. Water passes from the land and it is an amazing place for walking, biking and getting inspired. The river beach is just two minutes away by car and on top you we'll find some peaks with sensational views. The people are simple and down to earth. Land fertile and giving. When it comes to places of natural beauty you will find many in the area around. So if you are so if you are trying to find quiet spots this is your place.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Three decently sized bedrooms in the house and a sofa bed. You will get a private room for yourself that can be locked with comfortable mattress and furniture. (Still need to upload the guest room pictures)

Normally I cook vegetarian food. Breakfast is simple some cornflakes/nuts/avocado/ fruits. We might add biscuits and bread/ croissants to that. I cook preferably once a day when alone. Of coarse that can be changed if you are here if we help one another. I do it to spare on time and hassle. Sometimes twice always simple food if you like complex you prefer yourself :P Some helping hand of course in preparation and cleaning is expected :P

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Transport very limited twice in the morning going to the nearest city and twice returning in the afternoon. Walking is very stenographic here. The next village has a wider timetable of buses. Locals are quite available to offer a lift. When the need arises can also help for a ride if available ;) Would be able to fix a bicycle for guests too...

    Can possibly accept pets

Pets may stay in the house with full responsibility of cleaning and feeding to the owner Although I wouldn't mind helping if i feel like. Yet best is if the pet sleeps in the garage :) Depending what pet this is open to negotiation.
