    Description

I'm Jayne Wayne. I've lived on the Central Coast of California since 1988. I own a small web development company and am blessed to be able to work from home or from my office in San Luis Obispo. I have 3 dogs that keep me entertained.
I purchased a 1937 cabin in the beautiful beach community of Cambria in 2014. A lot has been done to the interior, but the exterior needs help, and there always seems to be some project I'd like help with. I'm not handy, and I'm not a home-improvement do-it-yourselfer; however, I LOVE creative ideas and 'upcycling.'
Here at the cabin, there's a large detached barn-style garage that's been converted to a hang-out with a free-standing fireplace. The ocean is just a short walk down the street, and there's an incredible open-space ranch called 'Fiscallini Ranch' that overlooks the ocean bluffs just three short blocks away. The cabin is walking distance to town, and we enjoy beautiful sunsets over the ocean and starry nights here. The college town of San Luis Obispo is just a 40 minute drive along the ocean from Cambria.
I look forward to meeting you!

During your stay, you may choose to engage in the beautiful laid-back quiet local community of Cambria which is known for it's gorgeous coastal scenery, elephant seals, Hearst Castle, and Big Sur. The community has only a 50% full-time occupancy with the rest as vacation rentals and second homes. Cambria is a vacation destination and a favorite of those traveling from San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The beach is home to various sea life such as seals and sea otters and tide pools filled with sea anemones, sea urchins, star fish, crabs, snails and more. The beach was named after the moonstones that wash ashore there. Moonstone Beach Boardwalk is a 1.5 mi (2.4 km) walk with several beach access points and benches to allow for sea life observation and beach combing.

Hearst Castle is located approximately six miles north, and the Northern elephant seal rookery at Piedras Blancas is some fifteen miles to the north.

Cambria offers a variety of recreational activities such as bicycling and hiking. Local beaches offer a venue to boogie board, surf, and skimboard. Ocean fishing is conducted off area beaches. Local kayak fishing tours are available.
