I live on my own with my little rescue dog Sushi and cat Sheeba on a beautiful organic olive farm in the mountains of Andalucia. The farm has spectacular views and is about half an hour from the famous city of Ronda. My olive farm is registered 'organic' and I am completely 'off the grid' with solar panels and a back up generator for my electricity and hot water. I have a deep well (borehole) for my water. it works well. I also share a fresh water mountain spring with my neighbours. My closest village is about 15 minutes away and is one of the famous white villages of Andalucia. The village is sustainable with small shops, bars, a school and extremely friendly people. I have an amazing infinity pool with the same spectacular view. I also keep chickens and have a small veggie garden as I eat mainly veggies and occasionally meat and fish. I was born in Africa and I feel very at home here. I speak English and some spanish and continue to have spanish lessons and flute lessons. I love music!
They would have the opportunity to speak spanish in the village and to participate in local cultural fun events. They can also visit some of the famous cities and villages in Andalucia.
At the moment I need some help carrying heavy shopping, firewood, gas bombs etc. into the house as I am recovering from a knee replacement operation. Otherwise I need help with the gardening, painting, cooking, a little housework and general small maintenance and creative ideas on the land. I would sometimes need help with the shopping and would therefore need someone with a driving license who can drive on rough and ready roads. I need some help with the olives but mainly in the picking season and taking them to the mill.
English, Spanish, French
A beutiful little cottage at the edge of the pool which I call 'The African House', which is self-contained ie own shower room, kitchenette, double bed (can be prepared as twins) and lovely views as well as an small outside terrace. it also has internet.
They could visit some of the sites around here ie. Roman ruins, ancient Dolmen, neolithic rock paintings and some of the famous cities and villages. There are lots of activities such as hiking, biking, birdwatching, lake swimming, rock climbing, parapenting and yoga in the village. There is a good train and bus station in Ronda and a bus stop at the bottom of my village El Gastor. they can also occasionally have the use of my 4x4 and a small Renault 4. I also have bicycles.
