Our hostel has been providing accommodation to travelers from all over the world for more than 15 years and has established itself as the most popular hostel in Veliko Tarnovo.
It is a social and travelers-friendly hostel right in the heart of Veliko Tarnovo. We believe that hostel is about sharing - stories, thoughts, music, laugh, good food, travel experiences and different lifestyles.
Our big common room is the heart of the hostel. We have variety of dormitory and private rooms. There are shared computers in our common room and high speed internet access covering all areas. Our wooden veranda is a nice place for a good talk, can of cold beer or glass of wine.
We have created a program aiming at helping the hostel team and daily operations and also at contributing to the hostel atmosphere by interacting with like-minded travelers from all over the world and improve the family feel of the hostel.
The job we offer is not intensive, requiring no more than 4 hours of work per day, ensuring a balanced workload. We provide a very friendly and respectful working environment, prioritizing mutual benefit in the concept of workawaying. Our commitment is to offer fair compensation for your time and effort. We provide accommodation in one of our mixed dormitories and a weekly payment of 70 leva, equivalent to the hourly minimum wage in Bulgaria. Payment is made in cash, and we have a transparent policy without any hidden fees or charges.
This program is suitable for travelers with friendly, positive, social and naturally helpful personality that are planning to stay in Veliko Tarnovo for two weeks as a minimum.

As we have a sister hostel in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia you will be provided with a discounted rates for staying at our hostel there. We will provide a bed in one of our dormitories
All laundry is included free.
WIFI is pretty quick here if you're in the dorms & upstairs which is where most people like to be.
Kitchen is well equipped so if you feel the urge you can also cook to your own tastes.
There's plenty of room to chill out in a quiet corner, the lounge, two big patios, one with a BBQ & wood available that you can use any time & the kitchen / dining area that is nice & cool in the summer months.
The river is very close if you want to get away from everyone, not really suitable for swimming though to be honest, but still very pleasant.

It would be advisable if you had your own insurance cover for health & work here in Bulgaria (just in case) as we can't cover your expenses should something unfortunate happen while working, sorry.
Oh.. & last but not least; PLEASE BE AWARE We run a drug free policy at this hostel & can't tolerate the use of illegal substances on our premises.

We stayed two weeks in this hostel and we really enjoyed it. Due to the virus, the place was quite calm and the work pretty easy. But we enjoyed the place a lot. They have breakfast, dinner. and money per week. make it possible to go to the tours, accommodate schedules. We can't say a bad thing about Federico! He was with us for a month & was excellent, no problems whatsoever. He preformed all duties without any fuss at all, gardening, cleaning helping with guests. Didn't require any supervision & just got on with the job!

We already miss Max around here. Great guy! Always ready to help around with whatever we needed him for. Helping with the cleaning, giving a hand in the kitchen, keeping the chill atmosphere around, you just name it!

I spend a month and then days with the people of the hostel , and was amazing , the job is easy the people there is relaxes and polite , excellent breakfast and dinner , the time goes slowly there , Manny hills , green , grapes and the sound of the river , totally recommend!

We can't say enough good things about Joe, He was already staying at the hostel & we took him on as a Volunteer at the very last minute, literally! I gave him a "crash course" at Midnight of all the different maintenance jobs needing to be done & I left it to him!

Stayed here for a week and wanted to stay longer so got offered a position volunteering for two months while the other caretaker was away... It was such a great experience and such a cool hostel with great location and folks there.Highly recommend helping out. Assn, Andy, Nat and Randy a great people to work with... All the best !! Having Estel with us was a great thing. She is such a nice person and she fit as a staff member of the hostel immediately. Always smiling and ready to help everyone out! We envy her next workaway hosts. There will always be a free bed for her here and a portion of Randy's great pasta carbonara!
