"This is a haven for wanderers and travellers to interact, inspire and create. It's a social playground for expansion of the mind, a community of humans that have come from far and wide to experience unity. This is a University that teaches life skills, makes life friends and opens gates to a new ways of living. "
I'm born and raised near Paris, from Chinese/Malaysian and French/Algerian parents. Like a lot of people my age i wondered what to do after graduating.
So i left school to explore the world in search for more meaning and purpose in my life. I left to Australia, the other side of the world .
After living in Sydney, working in Hospitality, barely making rent, and being as fulfilled as i was when i left my house 4 year prior, i put my foot down and started studying in childcare.
I was looking for a way to put purpose in my life, i knew that the way i was living wasn't sustainable, i wasn't thriving (neither were most people around me too). For me who now worked in childcare (literally with the future generation of people who will populate this land), how could i justify my unsustainable and wasteful lifestyle?
i knew the impact i had on the world was immensely bigger than what met the eye . What could i do about it ?
About 1 year ago a major turning point for my family and I happened! My parents wanted to buy a house in the suburbs of Sydney, but my younger brother and i put our veto. That's when we found our permaculture Farm, our very own paradise, for us to share with friends and family.
Here at our Farm we live by incorporating permaculture principles into our lives, we’ve finally been able to find lasting happiness and now we would like to share that with you!
Permaculture search for happiness not through things, but through life itself; thus, it’s up to you to determine what is necessary and what is superfluous in your life.
The principles of self realisation, philosophy, harmonious living, sustainability, the healing powers of compassion, love, gratitude and spirituality are a few of the subject i love to discuss and ponder on .

Help with Eco project
Help in the house
We need people with experience or are willing to learn and help building a permanent off the grid home in harmony with nature, the land and the people. We are my family and I, full of good will to make it a Sustainable safe haven community to inspire; but we lack the numbers and experience in eco-building, permaculture, business planning (airBnB, helpix, etc),...
Your help can make a real difference
Current projects include organic raised bed & field mixed veg gardening, mixed flower and herb(edible & medicinal) gardens, straw bale & traditional cold frames, permaculture, wild-crafting, drainage projects/ditching, trail clearing and construction, pallet and bamboo construction, remodelling the 1980s farm house, harvesting, chickens, landscaping, composting and a small nursery. Open to trying any new ideas, and always have something going on.
The project is in early stages, so we need help on building, fixing up things, renovation, gardening, art projects, cleaning, weeding, cooking... plenty of options! :) it is a combination on what are your interest/ want to learn + skills + what needs to be done and the weather!!
My preference is to focus on working 4 days mornings and afternoons , with a full hour break for lunch (provided). Most of the work is really easy and fun especially if we work together.
You would have evenings and day long weekends also which is perfect for your to explore surround areas or even find a part time work in Forster-Tuncurry, Taree, Nabiac,... if you wanted too.
You will make the most of this area if you come with your own transport.
However, I am happy to pick you up from Forster-Tuncurry, Taree, or even Newcastle.

Workawayers will be staying in a beautiful little cottage which as 2 rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. Otherwise you can camp on our beautiful property.
Most of the food will come from the garden's, i will cater for the staple foods like rice and pasta. Although if food becomes scars in the garden (drought, torrential rain, bad season,...) and more food needs to be bought, a little donation could be asked and/or we might resort to dumster-diving as a solution.
