    Description

We are a small non-profit horse club Aranđelovac, founded by Jelena, her family, and a group of horse lovers and enthusiasts. Our club is located on the outskirts of the town of Aranđelovac, at the foot of Mount Bukulja, surrounded by beautiful nature. The property covers 2 hectares, and we’ve worked hard to create a warm, eco-friendly and inspiring space for people and animals alike.

    Our main activities include:

Touristic horseback riding through the stunning Serbian countryside

Team-building programs for groups and companies

Hippotherapy (equine-assisted therapy), which we offer free of charge to users in need

We’ve also received support through various grants and community projects, which helped us build accommodation for 16 people, primarily intended for volunteers, members, and those who want to learn horseback riding or simply enjoy life at the ranch.

We are strongly committed to eco values — we use recycled materials, pallet furniture, and promote sustainable living on the property.

Our place is not just about horses — it’s a small cultural hub too! From time to time, we organize concerts, theatre performances, and stand-up comedy events, making this a lively and creative corner of the world.

    We currently have:
    4 horses
    Pygmy goats
    Dogs and cats

We’re looking forward to welcoming Workawayers from all over the world who are eager to connect with nature, animals, people, and purpose, while enjoying meaningful time in a peaceful setting.

Staying with us is a unique opportunity to experience authentic Serbian rural life, connect with local traditions, and become part of a warm and welcoming community. You’ll learn about our culture, language, customs, and the values that guide life in this part of the Balkans.

Our region is known for its lush nature, fruit-growing heritage, and traditional Serbian cuisine, which you’ll often get to taste during shared meals. You’ll also have the chance to visit historical and natural landmarks nearby, including the famous Bukulja mountain, spas, monasteries, and cultural events.

During your stay, you can also learn the basics of horseback riding, understand more about horse care and therapy riding, and see how we combine eco-friendly living with a deep respect for animals and nature.

Whether you’re interested in nature, animals, sustainability, or cultural exchange — there’s something meaningful to take home with you.

    Help

There’s always something happening here! We have a large outdoor space and appreciate help with a variety of activities depending on the season and your skills:

Feeding and caring for horses and other animals

Assisting with therapy sessions (during the season)

Cleaning, washing, and maintaining common spaces
    Gardening, planting, and landscaping
Cutting grass and general yard upkeep
    Painting and eco-decorating
Repairing or building pallet furniture and other creative DIY tasks

You’ll often be working together with our local Serbian volunteers, especially during the busy seasons, which creates a great opportunity for cultural exchange and teamwork.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

During the summer months, volunteers stay in our shared volunteer house on the property, which can accommodate up to 16 people. You’ll have a bed in a shared room and access to a kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor common spaces. We also provide basic breakfast, and the atmosphere is relaxed and community-oriented.

In the winter months, due to heating limitations in the larger house, we offer accommodation in a cozy separate room within Jelena’s family apartment, where you’ll have your own space and stay warm during the colder days. It's a simple, home-style setup, and you'll be treated like part of the family.
