We live on a stud farm outside the seaside town of Aberaeron. In 2019 we will need help with the stable yard and handling foals, (if you do not wish to work with the horses there are plenty of other jobs - gardening, fencing, painting, farmwork, cleaning, tidying sheds etc. Accommodation is a very nice shared flat on the farmyard. We are one mile from the bus stop at Aberarth, and three miles from Aberaeron, lifts are offered into town when we go.
Help in the house
We need volunteers to help with the horses and foals. (If you do not wish to work with the horses we have plenty of other jobs). We have been taking volunteers and students for over thirty years from all over the world.
We also need help around the house, the vegetable garden, farm chores, and pond project.
This year we have had volunteers from France, Germany, Australia, Canada and students from local colleges and universities. They stay for one, two or three weeks. The accommodation is situated on the farm yard. Cereals, milk, bread, tea/coffee provided for breakfast. We have tea/coffee and cakes together in the farmhouse at 11am. At 1pm a fully cooked lunch is provided, with meat for meat eaters and a vegetarian option for vegetarians, pudding is included for students/volunteers to eat in their flat. In the evening basic vegetables, pasta, bread is available for the students/volunteers to make their own food.
Volunteers can learn about the horses, gardening and the Welsh way of life and culture.

Aberystwyth the university town is fifteen miles away with many interesting places to visit including the National Library of Wales. Llanerchaeron the National Trust house is situated two miles outside Aberaeron. There is a bus stop one mile from the farm, lifts are offered into town when we go.
