My name is Anette, I backpacked/worked round the world for 23 years and have now settled, enjoying the world coming to me instead of me wandering about. I am a designer and pattern constructor, write a lot and run a small Bed and Breakfast (with no breakfast). In the evenings I usually do my accounts and try to follow up on whatever was not done during the day...
I live in a fantastic village, close to the ocean, beach and forest, great for walking and bicycling. And I would love some help to run my little place. It can be all kinds of chores, from spring cleaning, gardening, polishing windows, and general maintenance.
You will stay with us and be part of the household, which consist of my daughter, me and a lot of wonderful rabbits.

You will stay with us as part of the small family, that apart from my daughter and me, also consist of a lot of beautiful rabbits.
You will get to know the Danish way of living and eating and not to forget HYGGE from the inside.
It is important to us, that you want to be a part of the household while you are here, since you will be living with us as part of our small family. It is also very important that you love animals, since they are a big part of our lives and we spend a lot of time with them and taking care of them.
In the afternoons and weekends we love to read, draw, play all board games, card games, go for walks and pick greens for the rabbits.
We live healthy and start with oat porridge in the morning at 06.30, lunch (around 20 minutes) consist of the traditional dark bread, smørrebrød and then afternoon tea when my daughter comes home from school. Dinner at 18.00 can be all sorts of things and since we believe in no waste, we also often eat leftovers. Dinner is for practical and health reasons the last meal of the day.
Although we eat a lot of vegetarian food, we also eat all kinds of meat, fish, diary products, and what ever the earth provides us and it can therefore be difficult to accommodate vegans. It will in short be a big advantage if you are open not only to the Danish cuisine but to all kinds of food in general.
Please note that mobile phones are not invited to join us while we eat and that coca cola is used for rust removal and has it place with the paints and tools.
When my daughter goes to sleep around 20.00hrs the house is quiet and there is lots of time for reflection and contemplation. Also being in the countryside it is possible to do some excellent start watching.

Arbeit
I am looking for someone who can help with general maintenance, cleaning, polishing windows, all-round chores, gardening and in order not to use chemicals: lots of weeding . We usually work from 08-14 and have breaks for coffee around 10 and lunch around 13. Sometimes we work together and sometimes you are on our own, depending on the chore.
We usually work on national holidays and you will of course follow the working hours of the house. You have to be fit since both cleaning and gardening are physical chores.
The upcoming project are apart from the above mentioned :
1) Making new home pages. I use templates, so a simple set up. The present ones are not supported any longer.
2) Algae treating and repairing the fence
3) Clean out the old workshop have to be cleaned out.
You will outside working hours naturally take part of what ever daily tasks there is in the house; laying the table, tidying up, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning etc, Cleaning the house we usually do on Friday afternoons or in the weekends.

You will stay with us in our house, where we also eat out meals together.
You will get a private space behind a screen on the second floor, where my daughter and I have our bedrooms.

During time of we would love to challenge you in all kinds of games, play ball and simply enjoy life! We spend a lot of time with our rabbits, we daily pick greens and you just need to be fond of animals to stay here.
There is plenty of opportunity to read and there is lots of literature in English, Portuguese and Italian on my bookshelf, that you are welcome to enjoy.
There is also lots of tracks for walking, bicycling and going to the beach and the small cliffs nearby -a lot of tourist come to do just that.
We have a nice garden to relax in, a hammock in the living room and then my daughter just loves to play and ask questions!
