Description
Our work team is made up of about ten people. Here, they are improving their English skills and their ability to teach Spanish. You will be part of our team. Bojacá (55 minutes from Bogotá) is a peaceful town. You can walk relaxed in its streets. Here the people are friendly. Every weekend, especially on Sundays, the town hosts a festival with dancers, shopping, food stalls, a small amusement park, and blessings from the local church. That weekly event attracts many local tourists from Bogota and beyond, providing a fun experience, and the primary economic activity for the town. It's really fun!
We can pick you up from the Airport or Bus Terminal, But if that day the plate of our car has restricted entry to Bogotá (Bogota's rule), you can take an Uber to Mosquera and we would pick you up in front of the entrance of the main church of Mosquera. (Mosquera is a town 30 minutes from Bogotá).
but if you want to get here yourself, you can take a TransMilenio rapid bus to the end of the line at Portal 80/ Terminal 80, then from there take an intercity bus to Facatativa, and we can pick you up.
Feel free to message us and we'll help you figure out the transport options.Types of help and learning opportunities

This is a place that will help you submerge in the Spanish language and at the same time improve your language skills because we are native Spanish speakers.
We're going to show you different ways to enjoy our city. Since it has mountains, you can explore nature and have a great time. Our workaways always say that our town is one of the safest in Colombia.Projects involving children

Help
Good day, travelers. You will be part of a group that is developing a program to teach English (we'll also teach Spanish as another project). We would like you to help us by being part of new videos -- on-camera and voiceover -- which will help us teach people by example.
From now on, we have a proposal for native English speakers. If you are a beginner in Spanish, you can learn with our immersive program (a new concept to learn Spanish quickly), and at the same time, you can learn how to teach English. It's a win-win.
The idea is that you could help us out for about 5 hours a day. During this time, we will give you a place to stay where you will have everything you need, including lots of food and your own room. If you want, you can also be completely submerged in Spanish to develop your skills in this language, but that is your choice.
1. Usual activities: speaking English with our students, editing videos, recording some audio, and revision processes. (Don't worry, it's very easy to learn.) You can learn Spanish while you are working, which will help us teach people by example. Two or three weeks would be great for us, but if you want to stay one, two, or three months, is great too.
2. If you have real experience promoting and launching digital products, online classes, etc., please let us know and tell us more about your methods, as we are in the launch phase of our project.
We prefer couples, but if you're by yourself, that's ok too.Languages

When staying here, the (two) volunteer(s) will have their own room with a double bed. If you were wondering about food, don't worry. Here we will give three daily meals! We eat meat, but we can prepare vegetarian meals for you if you prefer (there will be meat in the house that others will be eating, though, so this won't be a good fit if you require a meat-free home!/ Unfortunately we can't have a gluten free diet too.)
We'd like your help for about a month. What else ...
When you’re staying here you will also have the opportunity to explore different interesting places in the area for you will be able to go on hikes in the mountains and enjoy different emblematic areas of Bogota, the capital city of Colombia.
