    Description

    Hi there!
We live in a beautiful place in Guatemala between Livingston and Rio Dulce. Our place is a combination of 5 little bungalows, marina and a small restaurant.

We closed our door 4 years ago as we had to go back to Canada to have our kids there. Now that two boys are old enough, we are back and are getting ready to open our place for tourism again.

We are looking for volunteers who are not party animals as this place is in a quiet little village in the middle of the river rio dulce. No stores around. Local small restaurants across our place.

We invite fun and conscientious people to help us do that. Give us 5 hours a day and we will provide you with bed and food (family style).
The help is very basic, some shopping, greeting clients when or if they show up, play with our kids (2 and 3 year olds), helping in the kitchen, keeping the place clean, but most important keeping our kids busy while we are busy with other stuff.

We have kayaks that you will be able to use to explore nearby bay's, soak in agua caliente hot springs, visit hot sulphur cave, unlimited swimming in the river and if you enjoy sailing you can join us as we sail almost every evening.

We are in the progress of setting up activities like day sailing, kayaking, hiking tours and anything entertaining and attractive for tourist to see our region and we welcome input into these activities as well.

Our first language is english, but for the volunteer to speak spanish as well is a plus.
This would also help a lot for the volunteer to interact with our local community who are very welcoming and consist of spanish descendants and ki chi indians.

We hope to see you soon.
