  • Description

I'm Clayton, 22 years old, from the United States, and am hoping to see the world. I've done only a little bit of traveling, but it has convinced me to do much, much more. It's such a special feeling, finding comfort out of your comfort-zone.At night, I often find myself thinking of times I've spent with strangers far away from home, and I want more of those memories, more of those bonds.

As an inspiring writer, travel is a tremendous help. So much material, information, and most importantly inspiration has been extracted from my travels, which remains my number one goal of traveling, to simply learn and be inspired.

Easygoing and warmhearted, Hardworking and willing, I believe I can be a helpful part of a team.

    Thank you for reading.

  • What skills do you have?

For years, I've worked landscaping, which has helped me with both physically strenuous work, and also has given me a fair amount of knowledge of tools and their functions.

I've also worked at two popular restaurants in my hometown. Unfortunately for my hosts, it wasn't an overly fancy restaurant, so I've not learned how to cook a gourmet meal, but I am fairly competent on a grill.
Work at these restaurants have also taught me teamwork and how to maintain self-control while frustrated, and to work at a fast pace without lessening the quality of service.

And... my two favorite jobs, were at the three hostels I've had the fortune to work at. My first one was for two weeks at a Canadian hostel, and the other two were for only a week and two weeks, at a hostel in Mexico, and then one in Montana, USA. My duties at all three were the same, which ranged greatly. I had to do a little bit of everything, front desk work, doing check ins/outs, cleaning shifts, and breakfast preparations, but the most enjoyable, was just socializing with the guest. Helping them feel welcomed and comfortable.
