I'm a twenty-four year old graduate from Newcastle, UK. Last June I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a Journalism degree. Since then I have travelled to Malaysia and Bali and worked as a chalet host in La Plagne, France for six months over the Winter season. I am very passionate about travelling and experiencing new cultures and I enjoy writing my travel blog which aims to inspire others. I'm also very passionate about skiing and was a member of the snowsports committee at university. I hope that Workaway will be an opportunity for me to meet new friends around the world, experience new cultures and give something back to the countries that I love.

Exceptional communication skills gained from working in hospitality and my university degree. Also, working in hospitality has awarded me with fantastic teamwork skills.
Working as a chalet host enhanced my organisational and time management skills. Furthermore, I have excellent culinary skills as one of my roles was to cook a three-course meal and bake cakes every day.
During the summer of 2015, I worked as a camp counsellor at Camp Wigwam in Maine, US. Roles included supervising children, ensuring safety, organising classes and teaching basic music skills. My leadership and creativity skills advanced as I lead children through a range of fun programmes and events. Furthermore, I volunteered in an orphanage in Varna, Bulgaria in August 2013. I had to help look after young children and entertain them by organising activities and playing games. These programmes have awarded me with great childcare skills.
My journalism degree awarded me with photography & design skills (Photoshop/ InDesign) and video editing skills (Avid).
