"I'm going on an adventure!", said Bilbo Baggings. And so did I! I'm a 33-year-old solo traveller from Italy, and I've visited 44 countries so far.
In March 2023 I bought a one-way ticket to Asia, fell in love with it, and I'm still here more than two years later! I love exploring new destinations, learn more about local culture, hiking volcanoes...and have a big passion for abandoned and eerie places too!
I'm currently in Malaysia, where I've spent countless time already: it's my home far from home, and I can't have enough of it!

I'm an Italian native speaker. I've been studying foreign languages for most of my life: English, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, French, German. I've taught in schools abroad, and I'd love to take part into some language exchange or teaching courses. Now focused on becoming fluent in bahasa melayu, so that I can read all those thrilling horror stories I see in bookstores!

Quais são suas habilidades?
I've worked as a translator and editor for some years, and can speak several languages. My biggest passion tho is travelling and sharing my experience and suggestions - on my way to start a travel blog! I also enjoy showing people the places I love the most (yeah, I've been an unofficial 'travel guide' so often!).
As someone who's travelled alone so much, I can take care of my own place and treat myself to tasty home-made food.

I volunteered here during the whole month of March 2025, and then from the beginning of May until the end of July. It was overall a good experience, where I met a lot of people and made some friends too. I helped with housekeeping and reception duties. Communication wasn't always the best, but nothing that can't be improved :)

I spent 3 amazing weeks at Sharom's hostel. It was a wonderful experience for me because I had the opportunity to learn a lot about how to manage guest reservations and how to handle different types of tasks; in addition, I could widen my knowledge of Malaysian culture.
