Emanuele stayed with us as a workawayer in September. He helped us with gardening, building fences and looking after our animals. We had a great time together. Thank you very much for your help with the walnut harvest, for your delicious cooking and for the many hours of table tennis training... we had a lot of fun... and thanks for your wonderful guitar playing....... we miss it.... we look forward to seeing you again.

It was a super workaway experience to host Narmanda :)) She is a truly lovely person, with a big smile and big heart. She was very helpfull with all the task, also autonomous and respectfull of the house rules and others. She brings some spice and love to cook and talk about SriLanka culture ^^ She is open minded to other and curious, that make interesting exchange. Thanks again for your stay Narmanda ! I highly recommand if you have the chance to host her :)

Having had over one hundred workawayers over the past 7 years, we are grateful for being able to say that Lulu & Marsch are two of the absolute best we've ever had. They work hard(in a good way)..effectively and efficiently, engaged in such a manner that you'd think they were planning to spend the rest of their lives here...such a nice attitude... very caring and sincere, and really nice and easy to be around...if you're fortunate enough to get the chance to host these two sweeties, don't hesitate!

I had a great time here. Got to learn a lot about meditation,yoga and chakras . Met so many great people from different cultures. And the hosts are super cool, friendly and easy going. A must visit if yoga , meditation and clean food are your thing. A big thanks to the hosts Niz and Maria for having me.

Our experience with Pedro was great! We really enjoyed staying at his kiwi farm and getting to know him. He was very kind to give us rides into town and gave us lots of recommendations. We also had lots of fun working with José. Thank you for everything Pedro!!

It was a pleasure having Georgia with us. She is an amazing person and great team player. She has definitely added extra value to our business while volunteering with us. Super kind and organised person.

I absolutely loved my experience in Iceland with the lovely family of Bjorgvin and Gunnhildur! From the moment I arrived, they were so welcoming and kind to me. They have a full house of kids, which can be busy, but I found that their pace of life was relaxed and enjoyable. I stayed for three weeks, and I thoroughly loved the time I spent getting to know this family. They are so friendly, genuine, and open, and I immediately felt at home with them. I stayed in a cute little cabin in the garden, which was warm and comfortable. My daily work was usually deep cleaning various part of the house, sometimes helping in the garden, or sometimes cooking dinner. I found the work very doable, and there was normally some hours where everyone was gone to school/work, which means I had a quiet house to clean in. There were some beautiful things to see around the town of Akrenes, and I was able to visit the local pool and library to check out books as well. They are also fairly close to Reykjavik, and Bjorgvin was super willing to give me rides to the city when he was going there for work. From Reykjavik, I took a couple of bus tours, which I highly recommend as an easy way to see the stunning nature of Iceland! Overall, I cannot say enough about how lovely this family is, and how much I enjoyed our conversations, playing games with the girls, and just feeling like a part of the family for a while. I would highly recommend this experience, and I'm sure the beauty of Iceland and the kindness of this host will not disappoint you!

Nino has been with us, and I am truly impressed by his talents. He knows how to interact with the kids and even teaches my son valuable lessons. My son really likes and looks up to him. Thank you for dedicating so much time and effort to my family, and for showing me the amazing photos you’ve taken. I’m amazed by your skills. I hope we will meet again in the future.

I had the chance to spend about two wonderful weeks with Barbara, Bob, and their lovely dog, Lily. Everything went so smoothly right from the start. They picked me up at the bus station, which was such a kind gesture. Their home is lovely, and they made me feel like a part of it. I helped out in the garden, where they grow an amazing variety of fresh produce, and I truly enjoyed spending time there. It was easy to balance my classes with helping around the house, and we also had plenty of great conversations along the way. One highlight was getting to try lobster for the first time, which I really enjoyed. I honestly recommend staying with them if you love fresh vegetables, delicious home-cooked meals, and beautiful nature. Thank you for everything, and I really hope I can visit again someday!

Our stay with Carol and David was our very first Workaway experience, and I’m sure it will remain one of the most special and unforgettable of all. Carol and David are two truly wonderful people, deeply caring, full of love for their land and for the people who visit. They welcomed us with such kindness and sensitivity, always respecting our rhythm and doing everything they could to make us feel comfortable and at home. We stayed in their beautiful tiny wooden house, right in the middle of nature, completely surrounded by trees, animals, and peace. During our time there, we helped build an earthen floor with the guidance of a specialist and it felt like taking part in a real workshop, learning a lot about natural building techniques. We also helped take care of the land, built small stone/clay walls and check dams, worked in the vegetable garden, cooked, and looked after the house. All of this always with plenty of time and never any pressure. Of course, we also had the chance to deeply understand the philosophy of permaculture, which Carol and David embody in every aspect of their lives. Their respect for nature and their way of living in harmony with it are truly inspiring. And let’s not forget Carol’s cooking: she prepares the most delicious vegetarian meals, made with love and creativity🌱 If you ever have the chance, go and meet these two amazing human beings. Their kindness, knowledge, and care will make you feel at home straight away. We couldn’t recommend this experience more. 🤍

Matthias ist ein ganz besonderer junger Mann – freundlich, ruhig und absolut zuverlässig. Er ist immer bereit zu helfen, handwerklich sehr begabt und auch am Computer bestens bewandert. Wenn man einen Sportkameraden für eine Runde Beach Tennis braucht, ist er sofort dabei! Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß – sowohl bei der Arbeit als auch danach. Er verstand sich ausgezeichnet mit meiner Frau und natürlich auch mit unserem Hund, der ihm bei seiner Abfahrt sogar hinterherlief – etwas, das er noch nie zuvor gemacht hat. Wir werden Matthias alle sehr vermissen und hoffen, dass er uns bald oder irgendwann wieder besucht. Zögern Sie nicht, ihn als Volontär aufzunehmen – er ist in jeder Hinsicht eine Bereicherung! Even though it was a very busy week for them when we stayed, they welcomed us warmly, and we are truly grateful for that. They are such a wonderful family — everyone was kind, the children were adorable, and we really enjoyed the time we spent together! Despite their busy daily life, Anna and Leo took the time to share meals with us and communicate with us, and through them, we learned a lot about Austrian culture. And every meal was absolutely delicious! The working hours (mainly feeding the animals and doing seasonal tasks) were flexible, and during our free time or days off, we enjoyed walking and cycling. There’s so much beautiful nature all around! Thank you so much for the two wonderful weeks.

Our experience living with Tina and Linus's familiy was incredibly beautiful. From the first moment they made us feel welcomed, confortable and free. We had planned to stay just for two weeks and we ended up staying for a month, and without wanting to leave... We found a family in them, in which sincere communication, respect for each other's choices and limits, and kindness are part of daily life. We also loved sharing time with the kids, they are really nice, funny and independent. The house is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by nature and half an hour drive to the beach. We went with them almost every day to the sea and had the opportunity to surf, and enjoy the beautiful French cost. It was also really nice to explore the area by bike. It was a pleassure for us to live and work with them. They made us feel that what each one had to contribute to the project was really valuable. They had the courage to start a challenging project, and working for it was really enriching for us. Not only because of the usefull skills we learned, but also because the working enviroment was really nice, with them and the other workawayers from different countries, which became friends. Also, because they showed us that it's possible to create what you wish for with your own hands (and some help:) We keep in our hearts the long shared breakfasts, deep and funny conversations, hugs, celebrating together (Sofi's birthday, your goodbye party), and each one of you. It felt home for us, and now we know we have a family in Germany <3 . Hope to see you soon, Sofi and Sebas

We had a wonderful stay at Adam's farm! During our three weeks there, we really enjoyed working on the renovation of the wooden house and in the garden, the tasks were varied and rewarding, and we felt trusted and appreciated throughout. We also had the chance to share great conversations and moments together, discovering a bit more about Swedish life and culture while exchanging experiences from our own backgrounds. This intercultural exchange made the atmosphere even more relaxed and friendly, making every day enjoyable and meaningful. Overall, it was a very positive experience combining teamwork, learning, and good company. We’re really grateful for the warm welcome and hope our paths cross again in the future!

What a lovely person. I recommend her highly. Reliable, respectful, flexible. Her skills set are surprising, concrete, gardening, cleaning, fence building were very useful. She self manages to complete her jobs. She takes many thought-full initiatives. She works well with other volunteers and mixes with them on her free time. Tania was a great addition! Wish her luck on her travels. She’s always welcomed back. The place is not the same without her.

We stayed at Helen and Gabriel’s farm for three weeks. Since it was a hot August, we started working at sunrise every morning. The farm is located in a beautiful place surrounded by nature — the sunrise over the mountains was truly breathtaking, and whenever we looked up during work, we saw the sky and mountains changing their colors and moods throughout the day. On our days off, we went down to the lake, hiked through the forest, and enjoyed the nature around us. The farm was full of energy during the summer harvest season, with beautiful vegetables that we were lucky enough to taste — we really felt the joy of summer there. We learned so much from Helen and Gabriel, not only about farming but also about culture and cooking. Gabriel, of course, and the other Workawayers who stayed with us were all great cooks, so we enjoyed dishes from different countries every day. Helen’s jam was absolutely delicious — I still miss it so much! And their cat, Lays, always made us smile. Thank you so much for the three wonderful weeks! We hope we can visit your farm again someday.

Alexandre stayed with us for around 3 weeks, One of the reasons he came to us was to practice his English and we shared many a conversation about languages which i loved. Alex is a very nice guy, kind, polite and hardworking. So all the attributes we look for in a workawayer. He worked independantly in the garden, followed instructions pretty well and was a pleasant energy to have in the house. I would recommend him to future hosts and Alex i wish you all the best in your future endeavours! Janine

Macyn was a lovely, pleasant, and excellent addition to our volunteer crew. An all rounder, she didn't hesitate to put herself to any task (with the most beautiful smile and enthusiasm). Her work included sanding and painting old oak and pine doors, detail highlighting of wall moldings, weeding and rose deadheading (we have over 100 rose bushes), manure removal in our pastures, laundry pressing, help with shopping the farmers market, and a number of essential things that helped to make our collective lives here at the chateau comfortable. She made a few delicious versions of American chocolate chip and brownie cookies that were quickly consumed by our volunteer crew. She's poised, intelligent, thoughtful, polite and a contributor. If she applies to volunteer with you, you will be fortunate. She will always be welcome here.

Helping out here was such a blessing. Kača and everyone were so nice and communicative. The place has a really unique vibe and I wouldnt trade it for another first workaway!!

Manyatha is a sweet person that came to spend her short time with me and my mum. We spent lots of time discovering one another ! Helpful, considerate and diligent . She tries very hard in whatever she does . She shared her traditional dishes with us , unforgettable! Hope to see you again
