Antonia stay at the campsite for two weeks. She come here after recommendation from Remi, the current workawayer at the campsite where they stay together for a while. Antonia helps around the house and also she made a really nice signage for our new building and praying direction signage. She also helps our neighbour wrapping fermented rice (we call it Tapai). She's a good helper and doesnt mind get dirty.

We spent 15 days at Mayoor's farm in may, and for us, it was a truly wonderful experience. How lucky we were to discover the secret of chocolate making! There are so many different steps involved, which means a variety of tasks during cacao season, never boring at all. We were always working alongside the kind local women who help Mayoor all year round, which made the experience even more enriching. The farm is well located: you can enjoy nice walks around the property, and it's easy to take a local bus to the beach, the jungle, or the nearest big city, Mangalore. Mayoor is one of the most interesting and easygoing people we've met during our three months in India. You can learn so much from him, and he has a great sense of humor! The only challenge we had to adapt to was the hot weather, as it was summer. Afternoons can get very warm. Fortunately, there are fans in the rooms, and cacao tasks are done in the shade, also you don't have to work during the hottest part of the day. In the end, it was a very positive and memorable experience. We feel so grateful to Mayoor and wish you all the best in the future. Your projects are awesome!

I had the best time staying at Yanas and Sashas home! Yana made sure I felt comfortable right from the beginning and I felt like I had a second family during my stay! I stayed with Yana and her family for over two weeks and decided to come back, because I missed having Yana, Sasha, Leo and Neva around, having lovely movie nights, very deep conversations and funny chats! I would always recommend everyone to stay at Yanas if they want to feel like an additional family member and to expierience lots of love<3 It'll definitely be hard to leave this place and I'm hoping that this is a connection that will stay for life!!

We've enjoyed a wonderful week with Clare and her partner, Tony! Clare is a breath of fresh air and a wonderful host. She has a joy for everything in life and is always busy doing something in her beautiful garden or with her horses. Thank you for the delicious, fresh food and warm bed! It felt like we were staying with family ❤️

Staying with Lynne and her animals has definitely been the highlight of my trip so far! Her sanctuary is a dream for everyone who loves to work with animals and who wants to support Lynne with her incredible mission to give animals the life they deserve. In return, you'll get so much appreciation, delicious vegan meals, funny movie nights, meaningful conversations and most of all lots of love from the animals! I can't thank Lynne enough for doing what she's doing and giving me the opportunity to be a part of her mission for three weeks. If it would've been possible, I would've stayed way longer and I'm already thinking about coming back one day! Until then, I'm sure we'll stay in touch and I will definitely cherish these memories forever! I miss Lynne already, as well as Maggy and most importantly Bonnie<3

I had a great experience in my stay here, would recomend 100%… very welcoming staff, thanks Angie, Jaime, Diana, Luciana, Valeria, Fanny y Don GABO BOTITAS! Jajaa… Extremely clean and well organized with excellent facilities, two blocks from the center. Cute town with spectacular views… five star…

I stayed for about a month, with Dan and Gail. This stay was pretty awesome, I had a complete apartment to my self, they provided all the groceries which I used to cook for my self. Furthermore I was able to use the pool and hot tube anytime I wanted, same with the kayaks. Since I´m a mountain biker, it was awesome to be so close to the Coast Gravity Park and the several different Trails systems. Furthermore Gail and I went for a mountain bike ride, and she help me to connect to other mountain biker. On the work side I was able to organize my week, just about 5h per day, with some days off. For me the work was all garden related, from power washing, weeding, planting and more. It definitively is physical, which I actually enjoyed. On the communication side, they both are very flexible as long its not intervening there plans, but they still try to make your stay as nice as possible . My absolute highlight was the killer whale sighting, because they have a perfect view on the inlet, its not very likely to see whale but also not very unlikely. Thanks for hosting me, I can definitively recommend this stay! :)

We had a fantastic Workaway experience as a couple! The tasks were well-balanced, enjoyable, and perfectly suited to our skills. The family was incredibly kind and welcoming – we felt at home right away. The accommodation was cozy and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. Sometimes meals were even provided, which we really appreciated. The location is ideal for exploring Golden Bay – many beautiful spots are just around the corner. The animals were lovely, and for those with experience and interest, there may be opportunities to ride. We’re really grateful for the time we spent here - thank you for everything!

Such a beautiful, reliable and open-mided couple! Melanie and Olivier were helping us and contributing to the farm literally in many ways; from working in the fields to cleaning the farm area. When they got to our farm, we were in the bird scaring season. They made a shift with other volunteers and made sure that there is someone to scare the birds from the morning till the late afternoon. After hard working for scaring the birds, we harvested the rice together under the strong sun, threshing the freshly harvested rice, drying the grains by turning them every a few hours. So, they experienced the later stages of growing organic rice, which is the most fun but tough and rewarding part of it, and helped us in weeding in other fields. Also, as the farm members were fasting in the later part of their stay and we couldn’t come to the farm much, so they helped to take care of the chickens and ducks by releasing them in the morning, collecting the eggs, putting them to the pen, and feeding them everyday. When there were less work from the hosts, they created some works that they could do for the farm, such as big cleaning and organizing the kitchen and the farm area, watering the garden, also cooking lunch with other volunteers. 😊 We really had a great time with Melanie and Olivier, and appreciated to their support and contributions to our farm! (They even recommended to their family to join our farm, and we could enjoy the time with them too!) They have lots of experiences in marketing and branding as you could see on their profiles, we are sure they would be happy to help you in that fields as well, not only hands-on helps in the fields. :D Thank you so much for choosing us and coming to our farm during your literally amazing journey, and shared such a good time with us. 😊 Hope we could have you again whenever you come to Malaysia, and makan makan! 😊 All the best to you guys, terima kasih and jumpa lagi!

I spent a week on Kurt's farm and I had such a great time helping out with odd jobs and spending time in the beautiful Barossa Valley region. Kurt is kind, welcoming and generous, and I really enjoyed learning from him, whether that be to do with the sheep, the cars, the wine or farming in general! Either way there is plenty to learn but the atmosphere is super chilled and laid back. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to spend some time in the countryside and learn more about this way of life, it's a great experience:)

I spent two weeks at Joe’s place and honestly wished I could have stayed longer! Joe is a super chill and warm-hearted guy who makes you feel right at home from day one. He also introduced us to his friends, and we truly felt welcomed into the community. I had a private room tucked between coconut trees—such a peaceful spot! We usually worked in the mornings, five days a week, helping with dishwashing, keeping the restaurant tidy, and doing a bit of gardening. In our free time, we explored Khanom with the motorbike Joe rented for us. It’s not touristy at all and has so much to offer—coffee shops, local markets, waterfalls, beaches, viewpoints, and more. All in all, a great experience. I highly recommend!

Matt and Bea are a lovely young couple and were careful and thorough in all their tasks. Coming from London, there were a few firsts; first time stacking wood (the result was impressive), first caravan clean (meticulous) and they did a great job of all the household cleaning and weeding. They were willing to take on anything and were great house-mates - putting up with my taste in music and my late night responses to a sick dog. Bea's aptitude for RummyCub was remarkable and I was gutted not to win against her ! All in all, they were great to host and I recommend them to others.

Vy was such a lovely human being and a pleasure to host in my home. Excellent work ethic, crazy good cheffing skills, friendly, respectful and so good with my kitties. All the best to you in travels and life Vy!

Lena is organized, articulate, and pays attention to detail. She learns quickly and is able to pick up on new skills easily. Lena is a pleasure to have around, and I highly recommend her:)

I spent two weeks at this beautiful campside. Surrounded by nature, with the river and the mountains near by, it truly is a magical place where I felt at peace from the first moment. The owners are both such warmhearted and welcoming people that made me feel at home straight away. l experienced two peaceful and calm weeks, which were exactly what I needed. Thank you for everything!

Joan was the first volunteer teaching English in our community, and he did an amazing job. He helped organize the classes, group people by level, and made the whole learning process smooth and effective. He is passionate about teaching and knows how to explain topics in a simple and clear way. His skills in teaching pronunciation were especially helpful. He’s also responsible, friendly, easy-going, and able to catch people’s attention and keep them engaged. What we appreciated most is that he’s a self-driven person — he didn’t need anyone to organize him. He became a real part of our community, and we’re very grateful for his work. I highly recommend him to any project or community.

New shoes, new drum brakes set on the Ford Ranger, rockclimbing on California's mountains, beekeeping... Thank you Tim for all these discoveries and for sharing you travel experiences !!! It was such a pleasure to stay few days in your amazing forest ! It's a beautiful place with tall trees and a nice creek. I think you have enough fire wood for the next 10 years, so let's build other cool things on your proprety next time 😉

Had a wonderful stay at Vincent's place. He and his family is really nice, helpful and welcoming. The given tasks are doable and most of the times different. It's a really good place to gain new skills and unforgettable experiences. BTW, the food and also the location on the Sunshine Coast themselves are already worth to visit the place. I can definitely recommend a stay at Vincent's place.

My daughter & I felt at east straight away with Junio, which is really saying something for my daughter! He spent lots of time playing with her and easily won her over!. He was polite, respectful and most helpful around the house and garden. He surprised us by making a delightful apple cake one day, my daughter was super excited. He absolutely loved the streams of birds that flew overhead most afternoons, and it is a delight to see this marvel with fresh eyes. In the garden he helped plant seedlings and plants, weeding and lots of watering, We got a new delivery of wood chips and he helped spread this mulch around the garden beds. We are so grateful for his kind presence.

Tammy and Alex joined me for 10 days when I already had a full house - fortunately they were travelling by van and were able to accommodate themselves during sleeping hours. The dialogue leading up to their arrival was smooth and arrangements went very well. They immediately fitted in with the other three people already staying through their outgoing personalities and interest in people and places. Their added maturity and life experience made hosting them particularly easy, with their eagerness to prepare excellent meals for the whole team an added bonus. Their steady effort in sorting out the chaos of my garage, finishing off lining that building and replacing all my "good junk" was a great relief. They also managed to get through a decent amount of native planting with the rest of the team of the time. All in all, a very worthwhile stay for me and I'm really appreciative of all that Alex and Tammy were able to contribute to my project. Thanks guys!
