Len and Toni are wonderful, very welcoming. I felt at home right away. Len instructions are very clear and he provides every safety equipment you'll need. I was only staying for a few days but they manage to show me a lot, and Len drove me to cape Hauy so I could do that wonderful hike. Room is really cozy. I would be happy to come back. The only thing I'd say, beware of Len when playing monopoly deal, he might steal all your properties !! I wish you two the best :) cheers

Evelyn was a gem! She is kind, friendly and has a great sense of humor. She was very helpful around the house and with tasks in the garden. She was always willing to help out with whatever I needed and had a great attitude the entire time. I highly recommend her with anything you need, she is a delight to be around. She has great communication, good work ethic and her healthy lifestyle rubbed off on me, which was a great positive influence. Thanks Evelyn!

Isabelle was a joy to have around. She has excellent work ethic and is always trying to make sure her work is well done. She is not afraid to accept new challenges and is always open to feedback. She is a lovely person who clicks well with other volunteers and staff. Unfortunately she was not with us too long but we loved having her and would welcome her back any time!

Staying with Hailey and Odin ( and Evalyn:) ) was a great experience. I had only been in Canada for two weeks when I arrived, and they were incredibly kind and helpful in helping me find my way and settle in. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming, which made it easy to feel at home. Most of the work took place outdoors, which I really enjoyed, and their small farm is a truly beautiful and peaceful place. The tasks were fair, clearly explained, and I learned a lot during my time there. Later on, I was happy to return to house- and dog-sit for them. I truly appreciated their trust in me, and I got along very well with Bill – he’s a wonderful dog! Throughout my travels, they supported me in many ways, and I’m very thankful for all their help and kindness. Overall, I’m so grateful for the experience and would definitely recommend them to other volunteers.

This is the place to be in Ngunguru! Akke has cultivated a little slice of paradise, just a 15min walk from town, across the road from the amazing river! The tiny town has a cafe with the best carrot cake and a nice sports centre, complete with a golf course and a bar/bistro. Visiting in autumn has felt like a Canadian spring, using the weedwacker to hack down long grass and rogue plants scattered across the property. Great weather made the outdoor work nice. The tiny house is perfection, settled in with the trees and birds, a beautiful spot that is instantly a private home! Akke was great conversation/ company and shared her local knowledge with me. She let me know that she was a busy lady which worked for me. We got on very well and this is a must stop if heading through the area! Akke was kind enough to pick me up and drop me off at Whangarei!!

We had the pleasure of hosting Hannah and Brandan as Workawayers. They were very friendly, reliable, and eager to help with all the tasks we agreed on. They worked very well together, showed great initiative, and were always respectful. Beyond the work, we genuinely enjoyed their company, sharing meals, stories, and great conversations. They were also genuinely curious about the area, making the most of their time here with some great excursions in Bergen and the surrounding region. It was a joy to have them in our home, and we wish them all the best on their travels, hoping they continue to have many great experiences along the way.

Well, where do I begin? Myself and Luke were so excited to experience our first Workaway, and what a fantastic location to experience it in, but nothing compares to the level of hospitality and love we received from Hernan, Nati & Pehuen. We feel truly blessed to have had this amazing experience and have made friends for life in the process. The land is some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen, you feel so tiny surrounded by the amazing cerros and hills. it sits in the Enchanted Valley, and that is the best way to describe it. Utterly breathtaking, and we were so grateful to wake up to it every day. There is a special energy to the place, which is brought to light by Hernan's heart and passion for it. He has created an impressive water system, home and 2 rentable cabins, it is really inspiring. Hands down the best food we have had of our travels to do so far, Hernan is an asado master! We were incredibly lucky to get to meet Hernan's lovely family and friends, and to experience Anto's famous empanadas! She is fabulous! We enjoyed our tasks of maintain the cabins for guests and clearing the land. We were also able to offer decorating and roofing, which was greatly appreciated by Hernan! Everything is tranquilo, and Hernan really encourages you to enjoy the land, swimming in the Rio or floating downstream with it! If that is not special enough, they have 6 adorable, loving dogs : Chiqay, Blankita, Bakita, Mona, Nena & Fidelio who will steal your heart instantly. They are just so special and we loved waking up to their wagging tails and cuddles every day. We originally signed up for 2 weeks and we stayed for 3 months. We walked away with a new perspective on life, new friendships and memories to last a lifetime, and we will be grateful to you Hernan and Nati for welcoming us in to your home and looking after us so much. We will have a wee beer again soon amigos ❤️

I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Pablo as a volunteer. He joined our summer camp as part of an international volunteer program, and throughout his stay, he proved to be a valuable member of our team. Pablo was consistently kind, responsible, and enthusiastic. He built strong connections with both the children and the other staff members. His positive attitude and calm demeanor made him a reliable presence in any situation, and he was always willing to step in and help, no matter the task. He worked well under pressure, communicated clearly, and showed genuine care and patience with the children. Whether it was assisting in activities, managing groups, or simply offering support, Pablo approached every challenge with dedication and maturity. We truly appreciated having him in our team and would gladly welcome him back in the future. I am confident that he would be a valuable addition to any organization he chooses to work with next. Take care Pablo, truly grateful!

amazing host:) during my time in the foundation I really appreciated the variety of tasks: gardening, painting, helping with some recycling stuff.. everyday was different and it was easy to communicate and to choose something you liked. i enjoyed spending time with the students and was surprised how easy it was to socialize with them. usually it was also possible to join the classes which was really interesting. the team working in the foundation is super nice! during my stay we were 5-7 volunteers and I'm very happy that I've met these people! thank you for this experience!

I loved my time here and really appreciated how the Mojica family went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and right at home. All of the kids, from 5 years old to 18, were a dream to teach. They're very hardworking and a testament to what Hermes is building in Villanueva. I mainly taught English writing classes to prepare the students for their IELTS and Cambridge classes, but I also taught at the rural campus twice a week. This campus is comprised of both local students who are taught in the morning, and the Venezuelan children who are taught in the evening. Both groups of students are very enthusiastic to learn and full of energy, while also being very curious to learn about the foreign volunteers too! Villanueva is a very laid-back and quiet town. I felt really safe walking around and enjoyed (a bit too much) tasting some of the delicious meats, cooked llanero style, and also chatting to locals when out and about. Where you stay in Villaluz is a beautiful part of the town, very quiet and perfect to stroll around in the morning or evening. One thing to note is that it is a very hot place, so be prepared before arriving! Overall working and staying in Villanueva with Comunidad has been incredibly rewarding. The Mojica family are genuinely trying their best to provide the highest quality education to both the local students, and also to Venezuelan children who otherwise, wouldn't have been afforded the opportunity to do so.

Staying at this place was, without a doubt, a powerful and meaningful experience. It’s more than just a Workaway, it’s a deep personal journey. This place offers a rare opportunity to reconnect with yourself, to reflect, and to grow on many levels. During my time there, I found answers to inner questions I hadn’t even asked yet. I evolved as a person, in how I relate to myself and to others. The spiritual energy of the place is palpable, and the nature surrounding the center adds a beautiful, calming dimension to the whole experience. The community (both the monks and the volunteers) is incredibly kind and welcoming. There’s a genuine sense of connection and shared purpose. Work periods are enjoyable and well-paced, with regular breaks, snacks, and drinks. You are truly taken care of here. The food is delicious, the accommodation is great, and everything is handled with care and intention. If you’re looking for something more than just a place to volunteer, if you’re open to introspection, transformation, and being part of something meaningful, then it is the place. I’m deeply grateful for everything I experienced there.

We spent two great weeks at Manja and Allan's home and got lucky to experience their tulip season. Right from the start we felt very welcomed. Manja and Allan made sure that we had a good time even during that busy period. Besides our tasks we had a lot of opportunities to explore the area and enjoy their blooming tulip field. We feel very thankful that they have shared their home with us and can highly recommend them as hosts. We would love to visit them again to share more good conversations and meals.

Jamie and Kala were my first Workaway experience, and it was absolutely unforgettable. Even though I only stayed for two and a half weeks, it truly felt like my second home. They are two of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met - so warm, kind, and thoughtful. The working days could be a bit tiring - I was using muscles I don’t usually use! - but finishing projects always gave me a sense of achievement and joy. Every single moment was special, but one memory that stood out was when they celebrated my birthday with a delicious dinner, a beautiful cake, and even a pretty tumbler. I felt so loved. The house was incredibly cozy, and what healed my heart the most was the peaceful natural surroundings - the fireplace, the forest, and the sound of the wind. I absolutely loved spending time with them and their adorable animals. They were always so caring and gave me many chances to explore Eungella and experience the Aussie lifestyle - especially the slang and food (which I loved, lol). I honestly and wholeheartedly recommend staying with Jamie and Kala for your Workaway. They welcomed me with open arms and made sure I felt safe and happy the entire time. I miss everything - the lovely animals, the delicious meals, the nature-filled environment, and above all, the kindness and love they gave me. I want to pass that love on to someone else now. It was so great having Rosa and Mica stay at my place for about 2 months. They are both very responsible people with an excellent work ethic and a genuine concern for other people and the planet in general . Mica was a fantastic volunteer and a very upbeat and interesting person with a great outlook on life. I enjoyed our conversations. Other hosts would be fortunate to have Mica stay with them. I wish them the best of luck on their travels!

I had a wonderful month staying with Roger and Brenda. They are very friendly and welcoming people who made me feel comfortable from the beginning. It was also a great opportunity to connect with other Workawayers and share experiences together. I helped with gardening, weeding, cutting firewood, and more. Using the water blaster was especially fun. They also took me to the beach, the local market, and on a bushwalk, which allowed me to explore the area—and I really enjoyed that. Geocaching was another cool experience. Thank you, Roger, Brenda for hosting me!

A genuine volunteer who gave everything during her stay. Every task benign or fascinating was carried out with 110% commitment & sincerity. A truly top class human, full of intrigue, compassion & curiosity. I would highly recommend Rosa as a volunteer to anyone. Come back and see us soon !!!

Alejandro offers a beatiful garden for those who are interested in cultivating aromatic plants, vegatables and fruits; deep knowledge about indigineous culture, design and biogeography aswell. We had lots of interesting conservations about various subjects during the days I volunteered. He is also a talented musician you can find a good connection in this area too. Alejandro doesn't have strict working hour rules and he is very mindful about communication. We mostly worked together. Since I was at his place at the end of autmn we harvested pomegranates, figs, tomatoes etc. Home made pomegranete turkish delight production was the most important experimental work of my stay :)). Also we cut and carried the reeds in the garden. Thanks Alejandro for being kind, joyful and sharing !

Amrei a passé une semaine avec nous. Elle aime communiquer et s'exprime très bien en français. Elle a participer aux tâches du jardinage, embouteillage d'une production de komboucha ainsi que le quotidien de la maison. Elle est ouverte à apprendre. Nous la recommandons. Bon voyage à toi Amrei.
