My first workaway experience was not the best so I was a ball of nerves heading towards the next one. It is an understatement to say that all my nerves immediately vanished once I was welcomed by Kate at the bus station! She had such a warm, trustworthy and relaxed energy. I felt incredibly welcomed and at home in their place. I loved all of their animals and I miss the house greatly. Both her and Gerhard are like walking encyclopedias with so much knowledge. They are wonderful and interesting people who have their hearts at the right place. The work is totally fair and I actually quite enjoyed taking care of the garden. Also I felt that they really appreciated the what ever small tasks i would do which was nice. There was absolutely no pressure. There are not enough words to describe how lucky I feel that I found them and got to have this experience in lovely Kaş. It also warmed my heart how they have embraced and are familiar with Turkish culture. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the time I spend with them. Kate put so much effort into taking me and also another workawayer into places and it was clear it was important for her that people feel good whilst staying with them. These are the type of hosts you wish to have on Workaway. Thank you again Gerhard and Kate.

I've had the most wonderful time staying at Delia's house with all those lovely dogs(Snowy, Lily, Daisy and Casper) and gentleman Mr.Felix(a cat) for 6weeks. Delia is so friendly and definitely she always wholeheartedly greets everyone who visits her house and I would say her smile and greeting are the best gifts everyday stay in the house. I already miss you Delia:) and those sweeties in the house. Of course Delia and Peter both love to meet new people so I strongly recommend anyone who loves dogs and cats and wants to enjoy the beautiful south England and its seaview. Lastly, my best wishes to Delia's big family and I want to say, I love you Delia and appreciate your sweet hugs~ I will keep in contact with you!

We spent two wonderful weeks with Jenni and had such a great time! The days were calm and full of beautiful autumn light — we loved going for walks with stunning views of Canossa and enjoying quiet moments in Jenni’s lovely home. Her house is tastefully designed and full of warmth and inspiration. During our stay, we helped with different household and garden tasks, some cleaning, and a few small projects around the house. The work was always fair and enjoyable, and we really appreciated Jenni’s kindness, communication, and relaxed attitude. We felt truly welcome from the very beginning and quickly fell in love with little puppy Lupa and the sweet old Labrador. The dogs — and the chickens freely wandering around the large property — are the happiest and most peaceful souls we’ve met. Jenni’s place has a very special, magical energy, and we’re so grateful we could share it as a family. Thank you, Jenni, for such a beautiful experience!

I cannot express how grateful I am to have had Vivi's help in my last trimester of pregnancy. She was here for three months and became part of the family. The children absolutely loved having her stay. She taught the girls how to cook and was so playful and sweet with my one year old. She also helped my elderly mum with various jobs, an elderly neighbor with her garden, and a friend with child minding.Vivi is very easy to communicate with and I really enjoyed chatting with her about all sorts of different topics. She is very respectful, trustworthy, and kind and goes above and beyond to help. Once I forgot my shopping list so she text me every item! She is very good at cleaning and organizing, and I was so happy to have a tidy clean home while heavily pregnant! When I had my baby four days before she left us, she kept up our household routine so I could rest and recover.  She was a Godsend! Really!! We will miss you Vivi!

We want to thank from the button of our heart Larisa for all the help , support , love & magic she brought & shared with us ! She is simply amazing ! Think about something that you would like to have done in the house and she did it already before you have chance to ask ! She is an amazing cook, amazing with kids , liovely with animals & a huge support in everything . There are no words to say thank you for this amazing month together & for the priceless help she gave us with all the puppies . Truly felt like an Angel arrived , since she put love in everything she does . We wish her all the best in the world , always happy to have her back as a Frriend 🙏🏼

Shunta worked and lived with us about 1,5 months. He learnt everything very very quickly and worked hard. He is easy going, kindly person and always happy. It was our pleasure he was here ! Thank you Shunta for working and being here and welcome back anytime!

What a fabulous place to be and wonderful people to share it with. Summer at JJs house was one of the best Workaway experiences to date. For me the work was mainly gardening and building, but there are opportunities for people with other skills too. Digory the dog is always happy to go on another walk, which is a pleasure in such beautiful surroundings. The children, Amelia and Billy, are an absolute pleasure, which is a rare thing these days. I was genuinely sad to leave.

Valerie stay with us was absolutely pleasant and helpful. She is very nice to everyone and very wonderful around children’s. She also did a 8 days motorcycle tour with me where I get to know her more amazing sides. She is with no doubt one of the best people I met so far when it comes to doing any job or a good company. I will definitely recommend her :)

Clotilde and Antoine are a wonderful couple and I wish they could have stayed longer with us. They are super positive, hard working, very friendly and immediately fit in our volunteer group so that we were all a bit sad when they continued their trip south and missed their good cpmpany. Antoine is a very skilled carpenter- on his own he laid a floor in one of our cabanas while Clotilde helped us painting roof beams amongst other little jobs. We wish them a wonderful winter in Morocco!

I had such a lovely time staying here with Jeremy and Valentina, from the moment I arrived I felt so welcomed by their kindness and hospitality. They live in a beautiful home by lake hayes surrounded by great walking/cycling trails to Queenstown and Arrowtown. The work was enjoyable and felt accomplishing cleaning and recoating the timber on the house, and I also really enjoyed my free time here chatting about travels and sharing a meal and taking Pablo for walks! This was a truly great experience and I'm so glad I got to meet these guys, thanks again!

In the last year, I've hosted over fifty girls, and she's the person who's asked me to work the most often. She's learned so many tasks outdoors because she's always positive and has always said yes to every job I've offered her. She's capable of many things and learns quickly. But she's not just a willing volunteer, she's also a friend who I feel will be my friend for life. If you're lucky enough to host her, both your country and you will be better off. Weibin arrived fully prepared and quickly adapted to our environment. He was easy to communicate with and showed great dedication throughout his stay. Although a bit shy and introverted, he was always reliable and willing to help wherever needed. He translated our menu into Chinese and assisted with many other small tasks that made a big difference. We truly appreciated his calm, thoughtful presence and his professionalism.

Viola was a great support and got fully involved from the very first day. Every morning she prepared breakfast punctually and reliably – always with a good mood and a strong sense of responsibility. Despite her young age, she is confident, well-organized, and was truly one of the pillars of our daily routine. You can always count on her – she thinks ahead, takes initiative, and brings a very positive and pleasant energy. We’re really grateful for her time here and wish her all the best for her future travels!

Norman stayed with us for three months, and we couldn’t have wished for a better Workawayer! He helped in many different areas – always reliable, persistent, and with a great sense of what needed to be done. Whether it was physical work, organization, or smaller projects, Norman was always fully committed and had a consistently positive attitude. He is responsible, respectful, and brings a calm, balanced energy that enriched our whole team. He’s always open to learning new things and completes tasks independently and with great care. We can fully recommend Norman and would be happy to welcome him back anytime!

I spent about a week at Marina’s place, helping her with some photography projects — it was a wonderful experience. Marina is warm and easy to talk to, and through her and the local people she introduced me to, I gained a deeper appreciation for wellness and the local culture.

Mathieu has been a delight to host these past weeks. He has an engaging, warm, yet gentle presence, is thoughtful, considered, hard working, and highly trustworthy. If a guest could ever be best described as fitting in seamlessly to daily life and living in my home, Mathieu is right up there. His intelligence, friendliness, and willingness to try new things and tackle any task is noteworthy. He is focussed, highly efficient, and produces excellent results when shown how to do things, and what is required. He adds his own magic by completing tasks in a standout manner with a Swiss hallmark of quality! He will always be welcome in my home. I wish him the best for his adventures in New Zealand, and highly recommend him to future potential hosts.

It’s hard to put into words everything we experienced during our 28 days at the Beach House. This was so much more than just a volunteering experience — it was about belonging to a family that truly welcomes you and gives you the best they have. Kris is someone everyone should meet. He has a unique heart and a kindness that’s rare to find these days. You’ll learn so much from him — not only about work, but about life, values, and how to see the world. By his side are Catarina, the unforgettable little Luli, and another baby on the way to complete this beautiful family. On our first day, we were welcomed by Isi and Ary with big smiles — and those smiles stayed until our very last day. They made this experience even more special. We got to know more about their cultures, tastes, and ways of seeing and living life through a real and genuine exchange. That’s what brought us so close in such a short time. They patiently helped us improve our English and were always there for us. Toward the end of our stay, Danny arrived to join and complete the dream team — adding his calm and good energy to the mix. Together, we helped start the fruit tree garden project, worked on the motorhome’s interior, supported the house project, and were there for the arrival of Chickelinha 🐔 and Patolino 🦆. The Beach House is a magical place where you feel at home from the very first day. Kris makes sure you’re always comfortable and happy. From the top of the house, you can sit and watch the sea and the sun setting behind it. There are so many beautiful spots to explore in the area. These were unique moments and unforgettable days that we’ll carry with us forever. We left with our hearts full and already missing everyone, feeling so grateful and lucky to have spent these days with such kind people who taught us so much. Thank you, Kris, Catarina, and Luli, for opening your home and letting us live all this with you. We hope one day we can return your hospitality. See you soon!! ❤️

It was such a pleasure to host Jakob! He completed every task quickly, with care and attention to detail — always sending photos and updates along the way. He often did even more than what was asked, and the results were always high quality. I also received great feedback from people in the local community who met him — they said he was kind, respectful, and very easy to get along with. Even though I was in the Netherlands during his stay, I felt completely confident and at ease leaving him at my home in Thailand. He’s trustworthy, independent, and did a lot of meaningful work that really helped move the project forward. Highly recommended, and I’d be very happy to welcome him back anytime!

Zoe gets five stars in every category. She an incredibly fantastic person. Hard-Working, self-motivated, incredibly caring and empathetic. We hope to have her back!
