I worked for many years in communications in China, and moved to Europe in 2017 for postgraduate studies. I have lived in China, England, Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands and Serbia, and travelled to many countries in Southeast Asia, the USA, Mexico and Europe. I like reading, listening to music, hiking, cooking, learning new skills and helping people solve their problems.

In my current project in San Cristobal, Chiapas, I am helping with reception and marketing the hostel to a more targeted audience, through working on the reservation system and photography contents.

I spent three months with a hostel in La Cruz, close to Puerto Vallarta from Dec 2023 to March 2024. Over there I helped keep the hostel clean and tidy, organised events, coordinated and trained volunteers, managed a reservation system and helped with general customer service.

In October/November 2023 I volunteered on a farm/guesthouse in the mountains south of Jakarta, Indonesia. I helped the guesthouse develop a full sales and marketing plan with the intention of increasing bookings, offering a more diverse and satisfying guest experience and building a like-minded community.

In September/October 2023 I volunteered on a campsite in Georgia, in a village to the south of the capital Tbilisi. I worked with a team on the farm to help build flower beds, harvest vegetable and plant seeds.

I have acquired experience in farming, kitchen duties, sales, customer service, maintenance and reception over the last 12 months of my Workaway experience.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I am a seasoned traveller and can help people plan their travels and itineraries. I am more familiar with Europe and Southeast Asia, and to a certain extend Mexico.

I have learned to make coffee with a machine from my previous experiences, and have served drinks and food to customers in various settings. I am very good with remembering a customer's face and their name, as well as building rapport.

I have experience with reservation systems such as beds24 and Little Hotelier, and can help manage a rental property to maximise occupancy rate and profit. I am also familiar with Booking.com, Airbnb and Hostelworld as a booking channel (for host).

I come from a communications background, having worked with media, clients and various partners for many years. I can help build a customer relationship management plan from scratch, as well as a sales & marketing plan. I also have event management experience and can help organise small to mid scale events including elements such as inviting guests, contacting speakers, working with influencers and catering.

I am a very details oriented person and enjoy keeping any living space clean, tidy and organised. I can help with cooking, cleaning, gardening, farming and looking after pets.
