Hi! My name is Nina and I’m from Mexico. I'm motivated by my love for nature, animals, and connecting with people. Traveling brings me so much happiness because it allows me to explore new places, learn about different cultures, and meet incredible people along the way. One of my most fulfilling experiences has been working as a camp counselor, where I discovered how much joy kids bring into my life. It helps me reconnect with my inner child and reminds me to appreciate the little things that make life special. I'm also passionate about environmental engineering because I want to make a positive impact on the world. Overall, what motivates me is learning, growing, and embracing new experiences! 🦈🌎💚

Yes! I love learning new languages. I started learning German at university and still practice it from time to time with my German friends. Right now, I’m also learning ASL, and I’m really excited about being able to communicate with the Deaf community. Languages open the door to new cultures and connections, so I’m always eager to learn more. I’d also be happy to help others with Spanish, as it’s my first language!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have extensive experience in childcare, having worked as a summer camp counselor in the U.S. for three summers with kids aged 6-14. I also worked as an au pair, caring for a newborn and a 4-year-old. My first language is Spanish, but I’ve been fluent in English since I was four, so I’d be happy to teach some Spanish!
Beyond childcare, I’ve volunteered in community service and environmental projects. I helped build homes for underserved communities in Mexico with TECHO and participated in marine conservation efforts, studying sea turtles and the impact of tourism on their behavior.
I also love cooking, especially baking for my family and friends. I learn quickly, work well in a team, and adapt easily to new environments. My creativity and communication skills help me connect with people, making me a great fit for collaborative projects!

I have a lot of hobbies that I really enjoy and keep me busy! I love running and have done two half marathons, and I’m training for another one (a bit nervous, but super excited!). I’m also a certified scuba diver, and this summer I’m thrilled to be volunteering in Madagascar for a marine conservation project—it’s something I’ve wanted to do for years!
I’m into card games too, especially Dutch Blitz. The last few times I’ve played, my friends and I end up going for hours. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family, especially my two nephews. Hiking and going to the mountains with friends is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors, especially if we grab gorditas afterward! 😬
