Description

I am a Canadian educator with a strong interest in sustainability and a lifelong passion for the outdoors. I like to spend my time exploring, swimming, reading, rock climbing, and playing board games. My hope as a workawayer when I visit another country is to learn about the culture, spend time in nature, connect with local people, and give back by making some sort of positive contribution to the place I am visiting.

Cumulative two years working in outdoor education.
- Leading guided nature walks.
- Teaching lessons about topics such as pond life, salmon, forest ecology, tracking, team building, archery, survival skills, leadership, snow shoeing, & cross country skiing.
- Teaching lessons about farm and gardens (goats, pigs, & chickens).
Strong communication skills, work ethic, and initiative.
Happy to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
Training in wilderness skills (e.g., shelter building, fire starting, knot tying, navigation).

Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Psychology.
Bachelor of Education (with specialization in Outdoor Education).
Master of Environmental Studies.
