I am a self-motivated individual who is respectful, patient, energetic, compassionate, and easy-going. My abilities include excellent communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills. I graduated two years ago from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. I am currently working in a doctor's office as a medical assistant where I am responsible for patients' intake and making sure they feel welcomed, heard, and advocated for. Previously, I worked as a Respite caregiver for two years where I assisted families with children with disabilities. I supported children's emotional and social development by creating a safe play environment, aiding in homework, and encouraging healthy peer relationships.

I am eager to learn new hobbies and interests, as well as teach any interests my host family may have! I love to play card/board games. Some of my favorites are rummikub and canasta. I also enjoy outdoor activites, such as volleyball, soccer, and hiking.

It was short (10 days) but wonderful having Carolyn at home! 🌈🤍 We had to travel so we couldn't have her with us for more time. I would want her to stay for months! She is a really easy going person, patient, always willing to help.
