I'm still deciding where I want to travel this September, but am willing to make plans around a Workaway experience!

Description

I currently live in Chicago, but I'm moving to London this fall. Before that, though, I want to take this opportunity between jobs to see more parts of the world that I've never experienced, connect with people, and help others! I'm interested in traveling around Europe, and having spent the past few years in Chicago (which has no elevation anywhere near it) I feel a calling to be somewhere mountainous or geographically exciting.

I think one of the most important things about life are the stories we can share with others. I'm a writer myself and there's nothing I love more than sharing life experiences with people who have come from different backgrounds than myself, be it through conversation, reading others' stories, or writing my own. I believe this is one of the most important ways to foster human connection and community.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm very open to any kinds of work, but have spent the past few years working a 9-to-5 desk job and am excited to work with my body rather than just sit at a desk all day. I have the following experiences which I hope will be helpful during my travels:

- Gardening (helped my friend plant and tend to their backyard garden throughout Spring/Summer 2023)
- Construction (have assisted in the construction of multiple theatrical sets throughout college, I just need guidance in doing so)
- Cooking (I'm a HUGE foodie. I love to eat and I cook for myself most nights of the week)
- Athletic/In-Shape (I work out frequently, run half-marathons, and love to hike. I can be of help with any manual labor that needs to get done)
