Hello !
My name is Alex, 23 years old engineering student from Aix-en-Provence, southern France.

I love to learn, try on new things and teach others what I know as best as I can.
I would like to experience a change of scenery, to travel and live immersed in a foreign culture daily for weeks. I love historical settings either in the countryside or in beautiful old cities. I enjoy history so much !

Note that I was born with a leg disability and therefore I'm walking with a cane. Thus I'm pretty calm but always ready for some fun when there is an adventure ! This implies I can not run or perform extreme sports. Fortunately, there's so much more to do in life. I try my best to be part of as many things as I can. I love to cook, drive, sew, design and build, play, hike, shop second hand and be there for people. I enjoy cooperating with others so much and completing community projects as I have often done here for student life activities (especially cooking). I really like to share a great copious meal with great people.

I am completing my studies (mecanical engineering, energetics, low emission technologies) this year and therefore looking for a workaway to volunteer as it is required for graduating. Therefore I can also help on anything tech/science/energy oriented. I'd love to do some DIY, my fantasy dream would be to revive an old house to make it shine again.

So let's make the best out of it !

I'm familiar with southern France and mediterannean settings. I like to road trip across France and would like to discover more of central and northern Europe. I have my driving licence but can only drive cars with automatic transmission such as my own.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As a last year engineering student, I can help and teach on various science related topics or homework (mecanics, tech, physics, maths...).

Through my degree I also learnt a lot of pratical work that I like to use as often as I can (welding, soldering, casting, machining, painting, wiring, coding...). I'm fond of DIY and always ready to learn and help. Enough of theory, let's get down to work ! I'm also handy with computers and love to tackle challenges.

I love to cook ! Helping in the kitchen is a favorite of mine. I like to work with local and seasonal products, discover recipies... During my time at school, I had lots of occasion to prepare meals for ~100 people per day therefore I've got the hang of intensive cooking.

I'm also love to sew, I like to design and create my own clothes and ball gowns. Quality fabrics always inspire me to create.

I'm passionnate about history which I really enjoy to discuss, share and learn. Everyone love to hear a great story, right ?

Going for a car ride is also a passion, I love discovering places through road trips as I enjoy driving.
