Hey I’m Basti🤗
I‘m from the beautiful small town Kitzingen in Bavaria, Germany. (During my professional training in carpentry I was part of a shared apartment with two girls for about two years.)
After I graduated from Highschool in summer 2020 I did workaway in Sweden for five months, together with three great friends I met there.
After this awesome time I volunteered in a sportscamp in the alps half a year and returned travelling the world;) Right now, I’m in the transition phase between my carpentry apprenticeship and university studies. During this time, I want to travel the world and put my newly acquired carpentry skills to use.

I am easy to handle, that’s why I am happy with every work, and even happier when I can learn something new while doing. Besides this I am exited to get to know new people and your culture. With my family I did a lot of camping in different Europe countries, so I know how to live with little things. My last bigger journey was traveling in Thailand, and Sri Lanka like „common tourists“ without working.
But during this time we quickly recognized, that traveling is a total different thing, if you really live and work with the people of the country. So we helped out at a very cute farm in Vietnam.
Working while traveling is something total different!:)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

At first I want to describe my hobbys :
I am playing tennis, the piano, and I‘m member of a tiny vocal band called mayB4. I also played soccer and badminton when I was younger. Besides this I’m an active member of the young Community in Kitzingen (KjG), where we do groupsessions with small kids every week and offer program for them like a tentcamp at summertime.
I really love doing sports.

Last month I finished my professional training in carpentry, so now I’m an official carpenter:)
During the two Months in Sweden I have been at five different workaway places and it was such an awesome time and I learned so many new things.
In this time I paintet a lot, made soooo much firewood, attached tiles, renovated a little summerhouse, build a new floor, cleaned out a lot, fed animals at a farm, took care of kids and much more. We also got a little "snowcreative" as you can see on my profilepictures.
(I enjoyed working with wood the most;))

After 12 years sitting in school it felt unbelievably good to get physically active and creative:)
