I am originally from Yemen, the land of coffee trees and sunshine, and I have been living abroad for the past ten years. Currently, I live in a small, charming town called Wageningen in the Netherlands, in a student house. This beautiful village is a melting pot for students from all over the globe. Living here has made me fall in love with connecting with people, learning from them, and finding alternative ways to broaden my world.

I am an active morning person who enjoys running and watching the sunrise. I am also a social person who grew up in a Yemeni family that expresses love through food, I take great joy in cooking and sharing meals with others. In fact, I am pursuing a master’s degree in food quality management. Over the years, my love for socializing and food has inspired me to work in hospitality in different countries. I have not only learned to cook various cuisines—such as Turkish, Cypriot, and Syrian—but I have also learned other languages. I am a polyglot who speaks Arabic, English, Turkish, and Dutch. A fun fact: learning Dutch was my "Corona project" because I wanted to thank my host's grandmother for her delicious cake.

Being away from home has taught me to appreciate experiences, connections, and the small moments in life. I find joy in the simple things around me—nature, movement, animals, the smell of fresh-cut grass, a warm shower, a delicious meal, and a deep conversation.

It am good at cooking, sharing a nice meal with pleasant company. In addition, I can walk dogs, clean, help with gardening, as well as learning Arabic, Dutch and English.
